Default Bottom Speakers On Laluz Frame.

I've noticed on my King Kong in the Taiyo Elec Laluz frame that there are a pair of speakers at the bottom. These connect with a 4 pin connector in the bottom right hand corner (looking from the back). It may be hidden by the transformer.

On mine they are not connected. I just wondered if anyone else has this frame (any Elvis or Star Trek people out there?) with these speakers connected and if so where does it connect to.

It's not like this machine needs to be any louder but I would like to hear it with all 4 speakers firing.

Looking at the back - bottom right side you'll see a white catch just above where the hinge for the whole game is. Just above that is a horizontal female connection for the lower speakers.

I think that is a commonly missing harness. Mine was missing as well, but Hiro had one sent to me from Japan since it was missing when I purchased the machine.

Yes, you will really want to hear your machine with the bottom speakers connected. It make a big difference.

Here are some pics of what it looks like and where it goes.

When the frames are first installed at the parlor, just the frame is installed first, without the main game, to adjust the set-back angle, then the game is set on the frame. That's why they come apart so easily. I can see why on this particular frame that when these are installed or removed that this connection would be left undone or removed.

Thank you all. I'll contact Slot-Pachinko and see if they have a harness.

I still haven't heard anything from Slot-Pachinko since they said they were going to ask there man on the Ginza Strip for the cable. So I decided to make my own (thanks for the suggestion MrGoodBurn. I don't why I didn't think of it myself)

At a local electronics surplus store I was lucky enough to find a 4-pin connector with wires attached that fit the bottom connector for 75 cents (I think it was the only one they had). I then fitted female pin sockets to the other end and insulated them with electrical tape.

WOW what a difference. The sound is now a lot warmer and detailed not harsh at all. This could be the best 95 cents I've ever spent.

If anyone has this frame with a missing cable your missing out. Get one and if you can't get one, make one.

This string was exactly what I'm looking for...just one question, being a 4-pin connection, can I add a volume control to it? Yes, I'm a novice and I'd like to not destroy my Marvel Heroes machine before playing it first.

Yes you could add volume control if your bottom speakers are connected, just tap into the wires.

I don't know what the volume level is like on the Marvel Heroes but on my King Kong on the lowest setting it's not that loud.

What I will do then is add the volume control to the top two speakers and hold off on the bottom ones until I hear what they are like. It's way too loud at the moment to listen to them. Thanks!

That could possibly work the top speakers are the loudest of the 2 pairs but the bottom ones seem to have more bass.

    Let us know the results.

    -Update-

After a few days of cleaning and going through a box of q-tips, the game looks amazing, so I plugged my unit in for the first time. I was pleasantly suprised how the top two speakers were not as loud as I thought they would be. I will attach volume controls because on the low setting its just a tad louder then I would like (And unlike the Star Wars unit, the "0" setting is absolute zero for the speakers) So I have decided that I will put socks into the top two for now and install the speaker volumes I have onto the two bottom speakers. I know you said that I could do this, but what wires do I attach them to? The second and fourth or the first and third? All four lines are the same color of red. I tried to upload a photo, but the post wouldn't let me...

Talking Re: Bottom Speakers On Laluz Frame.

    -Update-

With the two volume controls I have, I spliced into the 1st and 3rd line on the four way connector, and now I can control the volume on the bottom two speakers perfectly. Thank you so much for your help Mr. Goodburn! The photos were great! Now I can play my Marvel Heroes game into the night and not upset my neighbors.

    What a beautiful game!
