Default Anyone want to repair/restore machines for others?

I always get asked if anyone in (any town/state other than mine) does pachinko repairs or restoration. I'm thinking about putting together a list of folks on my website vintagepachinko.com with the contact info and location of folks. what do y'all think? Is anyone interested in me listing them for others to contact?

There is probably a lot of details to work out but I wanted to get the conversation started. Please post your thoughts.

well i throw my name in a hat

i don't have a biz licance or anything like that but if some one wanted a hand geting a machine repaired or up and running i would like to help out... (geting a "broken" machine up and running is the greatest felling and to honest its the part i like the best..

Restoration does not interest me to much... i lack the patience to invest that kinda time on my own machines much less someone elses

as for the money "There is probably a lot of details to work out"

    my two cents

    Thats a great idea,

I'm sure there are quite a few very experienced and capable members here that would be perfect for that!!

I already operate a side business restoring vintage Pachinko machines in Denver. Please add me to the list.

As for the 'details', perhaps the arrangement could be a co-op or finders fee for any business that comes from your site. We would just need to decide on a reasonable commission to you and figure out a way to track the business from your site so that it is fair on both sides.

I'll take AZ unless someone else chimes in from here then I'd split it. setting up a Commission for you sounds like a good idea.

I’d throw my name it but I’d be afraid that it would feel like a job instead of a hobby. Heck I still have over five machines of my own that are waiting to be finished.

You know, I was thinking of something similar, albeit non-profit. I was wondering if any of the pachitalkers had ever formed local clubs, like they do with cars, and spend a few hours a week, or in cases like mine a few hours a month, getting together as a group and working on restorations. It seems most of us either tinker or wish we could. Those with experience can teach the ones without. For me I am good with mechanical and electronics troubleshooting, but when it comes to restoring wood or metal I am lost. Just a thought.
And just to keep this from being a full-scale thread hijack heres the tie-in. You could list contact info for the local pachitalk groups instead of just individuals. Doing restorations for others could help fund the clubs, although I wouldnt count on it.

We now return you to your regualrly scheduled discussion which may already be in progress...

Thumbs up Re: Anyone want to repair/restore machines for others?

I already repair/restore vintage radios and pinball machines, so I'll add pachinko to the list too. I'll handle anything in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, North Dakota and South Dakota.

I'll help anyone with a pachislo or modern pachinko or newer America slot. I don't know enough about the vintages to mess with them.
