    Wink A Work in Progress

Just sharing a few snaps of an idea I've been toying with. I like the paint tray design and have made a few cabinets in the past using them. In this design, the spent balls fall into a paint tray and roll to front where you can scoop up a handful and place them back into the shooter tray. Play continues smoothly until you hit a fever round then you have to scoop the balls into a bowl or something and load the payout tray too. So I'm thinking (always a dangerous thing), why not incorporate a ball lifter with the over flow unplugged so that the payout tray gets filled and still enough balls fall through the over flow into the paint tray to keep play smooth all the time. So, that's the plan for Horror Mansion. Everything is rough right now and I will have to make a few guards to keep the balls off the floor. I'm also thinking about laminating the cabinet, maybe a slate gray... to look like stone with a few blood splaters tossed in.

Soooooo that's where you've been hiding!!

    Cabinet inventing!!

Sounds like an interesting ball management system and I love your ideas for the 'blood spattered' cabinet too

Add a drink holder for your beer and you will have the ultimate cabinet!!

"Fleck" Paint is available at HomeDepot for about $7.00 a can or $10 in a kit with a small can of matte clear coat which is needed to seal it. It comes in a variety of color combos including a dark slate gray and looks a lot like stone when finished - All three colors contained in the can spit out in a random spatter pattern from a larger than normal nozzle. I have used it a lot (including a pachinko machine - see profile pics) and it works great. I suggest priming the base a color that you like first (light gray?) then applying the fleck paint (darker grays) - uses less material and looks great.

Blood spatter will have to be added manualy (before clearcoat).

... as suggested, add the beer holder.

Test ran the configuration today and got 2 back to back fevers. Must say that everything worked better then expected. Now I need another ball lifter so I can convert Julie.
