    Default Machine not Powering on

Bought a machine from a guy from CL, when i picked it up he said if I wanted I could have his devil girl machine as well. It didn't work but it was free. So i took it thinking i might be able to fix it..

So, i plug the machine in and hit the "On switch" inside the machine. There's a red light that turns on for about a second, and turns off right away, so it's getting power I guess, I re-seated all connections and that still didn't work, any ideas?

I asked him, when he had the issue and he said "I was in a bonus round once, and it just shut down"

If he was in a bonus round when it went off, I would look to see if a fuse blown on it, or check the transformer. During a Bonus round, All the lights are flashing, and the Music is playing...Basically, the machine is using the most power it can.

On the box where the power switch is (where the light and reset button are) It comes out of the pachi, I took it out and looked on the board all the contacts looked fine, there was no black spots. I DID see a fuse in there, is that the one you're talking about? It looked fine to me i think ( i don't really know what a fuse is supposed to look like ). Tomorrow I'll put up pictures to give everyone a clearer understanding.

if you have a extra fuse give it a shot. sometimes a blown fuse will look okay when its burned out.

    here's pics.
Pic 3 is the power supply box, you can see the red LED that turns on for about a second then off.
I took that box out of the machine, and replaced the fuse on the board with a brand new one from radio shack, and that didn't solve the problem.

it could be something as simple as a wire shorting out somewhere,

You mean like a wire has a poor connection somewhere? like it needs to be re-soldered? I'm really dense when it comes to that kind of stuff

sounds like you have a shorted power supply and your transformer is tripping out .I take it you don't have a meter as well??? if you do unplug every thing going to your power supply with the exception of the transformer input .then turn on the power and see if the supply light stays lit. if not your rectifiers are probably blown and someone probably hooked it up with out a transformer or installed it backward frying the power supply .

So if that were the case alstonj1, What would I need to install to fix it, or is it FUBAR?
My brother is an electrician and he is coming up on memorial day, If it's something electrical he could help me install it.
    Thanks for input everyone!

well if its just the transformer youll be lucky theres plenty of those available .if its the power supply he'll have to find the shorted capacitor or regulator on the board and repair it . finding a power supply is getting harder and harder to do . But finding the bad component isnt usually that hard to replace .remember the internet is your friend for finding replacement components as long as you can still read the numbers on the component .its just hard to find someone with the time and experience to do the repair
