You have to go to one, when they have one close to you. The one I want to had 25 pinball games, well over 100 arcades that included the normal type to big sit down types. They also had those ones you see infront of stores where you put you kid on a horse or car that goes up and down, ext.
They opened the doors at 8 am and the auction started 11 am. Befor the auction starts at 11 am, you can play and check out every thing. There were only about 100 or so people at the auction, there were selling at some very nice prices. Only about 20% of the stuff neaded some work done to them. Most were in nice shape.
There are a few things you will want to bring, 100 foot power cord, not every thing was pluged in or close to an outlet. Bring keys from home to try and open them up. About 1/2 or less had no door key. For the ones that have no key, and you still want to play them, bring $5-$10 dollars in quarters. At the auction booth, where you sign up they had no change. What are the odds. The next one is in Knoxville TN. 4/25/09 my anniversary. I came down to TN for my B'day & Anniversary.
Good thing is, I told the wife & she wants to go to it also. So guess were we are going for our anniversary.

That is where I got my two Pachislo machines. They had the auction in the front half of the room and about 300 Pachislo's in the back half, but for purchase not auction.
I got there after the auction started so I couldn't test any games.

the goodwill bargain barn has a complete "last duel" arcade cabinet with some burn in on the screen for $20.00

they don't let you test them there and i had no way to get it home or i would have bought it

I used to go to them a while back in Columbus Ohio. We would fill a 22ft UHaul between 2-4 of us. Make sure you bring an extension cord to test out games first and write down the Item Number so you bid on the right one. Also be on the lookout for people that open the back doors on the cabinets and mess with the monitor setting and unplug wires to make games appear bad that really are not so they can win them cheaper. Sometimes people that are selling their games there will bid against you to hike up the prices too. I was at 1 auction where a game caught fire when they turned it on. Toasty! Mike : )
