Cherry Bar Won't Start

My Grandfather has a machine and lots of tokens for it. He said it worked before he moved it last, but now it doesn't.

All the lights work. When you put a token in it registers as a credit, but the start button doesn't start it. I opened up the machine and when i push the start button the light inside lights up, so I think the switch itself is OK.

That is where my troubleshooting skills end though.

Anyone know of anything simple that wou;ld cause this issue?

Pushing down the small black knob on the front should starts the reels..have you tried that??

yes pushing down on start does nothing. I opened the machine and pushed it down and the green light on the back of the switch did light up. So I believe the switch is fine.

did you press the bet button it should have 2 buttons labeled bet 1 medal and max bet .
some machines will only work with 3 medals bet .Your machine looks like an older macy machine . and should work with one bet. also check the fuse on the little pc board mounted on the side of the machine inside (its about 3X5 " long ) that board is for the reel stop control.another thing to check is that all the button switches are clean and operating if one is stuck in the on position none will work .spray a little windex on a paper towel and push in the button and wipe the inside barrel of the switches to clean them. you already know about the leds and each switch has an led so check to see that each one goes on and off for each switch .If one stays on thats your problem some times disconnecting the switch will clear the machine and it will operate .
