I think I know what you're talking about....prob pick some up at a stereo shop....I figure - everytime I get a "great idea", something comes along and makes me replan all of it. So in some ways, it's back to the drawing board to make this all come together before I have a stack of pachislos in the corner.....

Don't stack them in the corner...they will think the were Bad, Very Bad, and being punished...and they will resent you and not payout very often.

    Default STANDS

I HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE CHROME SHELVING UNITS FROM HOME DEPOT AND LOWES. THEY SELL A WOOD SHELF LINER (TOPPER) THAT SETS ON THE TOP SHELF EDGE ALL THE WAY AROUND. THIS CREATES A STABLE PLATFORM FOR THE MACHINES. GET THE 48" WIDE UNIT WHEN ITS ON SALE FOR 78.00 IT WILL HOLD 2 BOXES AND ISOLATE THEM FROM THE WALL. ADJUST THE LOWER SHELF TO FOOT REST HEIGHT. I HAVE MINE SET UP IN 2 HALVES SO THEY ARE 30" HIGH. SO FOR 78.00 + 9.00 FOR 2 LINERS I HAVE STANDS FOR 4 MACHINES.GRANTED THE ARE OF INDUSTRIAL STYLE... BUT MY HOSE IS PRETTY MUCH THAT WAY. WHAT WITH MACHINE GUNS STACKED IN THE CORNERS A CHERRY 2000 FOR A WIFE AND A ROAD WARRIOR VW BUS IN THE DRIVE. BY THE WAY: WITH THE REAR SEAT FOLDED ON THE BUS I HAVE A 5'3" X 10'2" FLAT DECK 48" TALL IN THE BACK COMPLETELY COVERED AND 33 MPG. HOW MANY MACHINES CAN I CARRY IN THAT JUNKER?

tank you should be able to fit about 40 machines in their,

    63" x 122" x 48" = 345870 cubic inches

    average machine size is 32" x 18" x 15" = 8640 cubic inches

345870 divided by 8640 =40.03 but thats packing them tightly 8-)

Along the same lines as the sound deadening mat would be styrofoam insulation (the kind that is installed underneath vinyl siding). It is only about $10 for a 4'x8' sheet at Home Depot or Lowe's. It is silver on both sides, but you could alway paint over the foil or hang a "tapestry" or piece of fabric over it. It is insulation rather than a functional sound absorber, but I bet it would work. I believe it comes in 1/2, 3/4, and 1" thicknesses.

what I use is that non slip stuff that the missus uses in the cabinets and the drawers.its kinda rubberish feeling and you can get it at wal- mart for like 3-4usd. and you have enough to do about 3 pachis, you sorta get the clink sound but is very very quiet. another thing I do is take the chute off and put a small piece on the inside of the door where when the tokens shoot out of the hopper and hit the door and fall into the token tray. you still have the payout sound, but if your in another room, you can't hear it very well, if your down the hall so to speak, you can't hear it at all. Just my 2 tokens worth...
