Default LCD has horizontal dead lines... rest of it works okay...

Okay... display problem time. I have a Daido Punch Out machine that uses a Casio LCD display.

    This is what it does.

I took the cables off of the display, removed the display, took it apart to reseat the ribbon cables that go to the LCD driver boards inside the LCD unit, and put it back together. No change in display output. Everything besides those gray dead lines on the screen does what it's supposed to do. The Casio part number on the display is CMV54NT04P and then it says 8L05F.

    Any ideas?

Your cheapest bet is a vintage Gamecube or Playstation display, but it's a hit and miss thing as they used a couple different LCD's in them. I got a playstation one that won't work in my Densha de Go!, same problem you have, luckily just a single line, I'm gonna live with it - for now

I'll keep my eyes open for those display things for the the PSOne and the GameCube. Following those links above I talked to a few places and hopefully one of them will be able to either sell or repair the LCD display.

Once I find out more about it I'll post back.
