Default Kung Fu Lady LED fix

    Hi everyone,
I was recently given a Kung Fu Lady pachislo machine as an arcade-warming gift. I found this forum looking for information about how to fix the reel lights. Many of the lights behind the reels blink, like a fluorescent light that's burning out.

After some searching, I found a thread for an LED fix for Eleco machines, which led me to believe these are LED lights. However, I could find nothing on whether or not this will work on a Yamasa machine such as mine.

Can someone tell me if the light assemblies are the same, or similar, and if the Eleco reel LED fix will work on mine, and even perhaps somewhere that describes how to get my reel assembly out of the machine. I'm not familiar poking around inside a Pachislo machine yet...only my arcade games.

there are no reels lights, a florecent light on the inside of the door lights them.

so i would guess it needs a new florecent bulb

there is a fluorescent light on the inside of the door, but there are definitely lights behind the reels. as i said, some are on and solid, some are dim, and some are blinking erratically, like they are burning out. also, the 4th "bonus" reel flashes with full-color lights when it is active and spinning. you can't really see the reel lights it in the picture i attached previously, because i had to use a flash. didn't have time to snap a steady pic in the dark.

most definitely lights behind the reels. if you gently push the reels aside, you can see the assembly with the 3 separate cells.

also, when the game is idle for 30 seconds or so, the cells start to blink in a pattern. in a circle, back and forth, etc...

sorry, mine is the orginal 3 reel Kung Foo Lady and it doesn't have the reel lights.

they must have added them when they made the later 4 reel model.

    Bump, bump
Anyone know if the LEDs used in this reel backlight assembly are the same as the Eleco? I need to replace them, and need some help on how, all I have to go on is the Eleco reel LED mod thread.

    Thanks!
