Default Old Heiwa cell: which frames would fit?

    Hi there,

let me say hi to you, since I'm new to this forum.
But even though I'm new here, I'm hopelessly addicted to the pachinko ;-)

Just a few words about where I stand: Since two weeks I own a Shin Seiki Evangelion cell, Aquerion cell and a Sakura Taisen complete pachinko machine. Even though these all are newer machines, I really wanted to have and old one in the beginning.

Now I found a machine that is somewhere inbetween the newer and older ones .. I doesn't use a LCD display, but for sure uses computerized electronics.

The problem with this auction I am interested in is, that the seller only sells the cell, but not the frame: This is Adventure Island:

    Yahoo!¥ª¡¼¥¯¥·¥ç¥ó - Ê¿Ï¡¡ËÁ¸±Åç¡¡¥»¥ë´ðÈס¡Ãæ¸Å

Does anybody know which frames I could use to connect to this cell? Does it need to be a Heiwa frame, or is Sankyo okay, too?

And is there a time area, where all the cells from that past time would be compatible to all frames off that time?

    cheers

I an not sure what frame that cell needs but all cells are frame specific, so if it was made for one it will only fit in that one.

Daverob will most likely be along and let you know what it fits in (he is cool like that)

Probably mid to late 90's Heiwa. Here's a Heiwa search on YJA to see some possible frames

If you look in the upper corners of the cel, you can just see the chrome surrounds of the 'Stop' play and win lights.

I've got no idea, I've done a whole load of searches to try and find more information about this machine, and haven't even come up with a manufacture date.

I'd agree with compirate that it's probably a 90's machine, but my Heiwa frame lists don't go that far back. I think your only hope is if someone can find a picture of the machine showing the whole frame (unless you can find someone who actually owns one of these machines!).

Paste this Japanese text into your favourite search engine 平和 冒険島 パチンコ -'大冒険島' and start looking through the results to see if you can find any better pictures. Ignore any pages showing '大冒険島' (Great Adventure Island) or anything with a 'CR' in front of it's name as these will be pages about a much more recent machine by Sanyo, or the video game version of this same Sanyo machine.

    hey, what a nice welcome!

I will submit pictures of my machines, as soon as they have arrived - since all of them are currently shipping .

dave, your help is much appreciated, thank you, dude. I understand that the compatibility between cell and frame is critical.
I think I'll go with the hint of compirate, to match the chrome surrounds of the stop light to match the ones of a future frame - and just hope that it's compatible.

I mean, what is the worst thing that could happen? Suppose, that the cell would fit mechanically into the new frame, and that the cell by itselve brings its electronics needed to do the action on the cell,

the only question remains, how to connect it electrically with the frame. Lets see.

That would be the real adventure behind the purchase of "Adventure Island"

The story with the cell continues, apparently I'm moving forward :-)

I managed to setup an account at yahoo.co.jp and asked the seller if he could also sell a frame for the cell - and indeed, he put it in for auction on my request!

The only thing with the frame is, that the electric spring mechanism to launch the balls seems to be broken.

It is something that can be repaired?
