    Default gold x noise from power supply when idol.

    I got a gold x from Valley gaming ( Timathie W/HopsonENT ) and the power supply make a moderately loud noise reminiscent of a cricket when the machine is idol and varies in tone corresponding to the lights flashing when in idol. I very carefully tracked the noise to the top half of the power box (definitely not the speakers). it stops when your playing. I've been waiting about 2 weeks to hear back from Hopson. does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

    I e-mailed Them the the next day after I recieved it. They asked if the sound was from the power box or the speakers,on the 17th, ( I had made it very clear in the initial e-mail it was from the power box not the speakers). I responded, on the 18th, from the power box and that was the last I heard from them .

    I would call them and explain you have a bad power supply and could they please send you a replacement with directions on changing it.

    a bad power supply is very very rare, but does happen, i would not use it till it is fixed, because a change of fire, please be careful

    I waited two months for VG to take care of a bad ribbon cable issue and after two months they finally told me they had no idea when they would have the part in. Eric at pachinko_pallace sent me the cable I needed within two days.

    Eric is a fine gentleman, I stay on this to see if i can get kpjp2 some help. I won't leave him hanging, as they left you. It takes a 100 volt power supply, I thought it toke a converter transformer

    I wouldnt be suprised if you get a new power supply and still have the same problem. Ive heard alot of machiens do the same thing before!

    It is VERY sad, I have try to support this vendor, because they were tring to clean up their act & handle complaints promply.

    I see I was wrong in caring about them. Hence forth I divorce myself from them.
