ebay final value fees

I just got hit with a 15% final value fee for a 50.00 sale which was 7.50

auction style listings have final value fee of 8.75% for first 25.00 and lower after.

fixed price can vary from 8.0% to 15% depending on the catagory.

i listed a ps2 network adapter with a fixed price in video game accessories and got charged the 15%, if i would have listed it in video game systems my fee would have been 8%. and if i did auction style in either catagory my fee would have been 8.75%

so, they almost doubled my fee for using their sub catagory!!!

no more fixed price for me, if you sell dvd's or video games for fixed price your fee will also be 15%

tip of the day, do not use fixed price on auctions!!!

I noticed that when I got the bill for this month as I sold alot of DVDs at fixed prices. They suck you in with the 5 cent listing fee but then rape you with the 15% Final Value Fees. I did some calculations the other day and with listing fees, Final Value Fees, and Paypal fees the total fees ebay gets on fixed price auctions under $10.00 can be almost 30% of the sale. So for a $10.00 sale you're lucky if you come away with $7.00 and then you get to deduct your cost from that.

use a regular auction with buy it now, final value fees will be 8.75%.

for a dvd start auction at a lower price or at one cent less than the buy it now price.
