Will do. I always wanted a vintage coin-op. I can't believe it's only from 85. I didn't think they made anything like that in the 80's. Not only that, I can't find any documentation on the internet about that machine.

i was looking for information during the auction, and i couldnt find anything either.maybe it was a prototype that never made it to production.if so,you could have a rare piece there.

I'm sorry, guys. I have a terminally ill friend that had a stroke on Wednesday. I try my best to peek in here once in a while as a distraction but have been out of town quite a bit.

I have been in contact with the seller and asked him to take his time in packaging it. He was easy to work with and had it professionally packaged and it was also insured. Tracking indicates it will arrive tomorrow.

I will need your help in identifying this machine. I'll be happy to post some good pics and some vids. I have found absolutely nothing on the machine and have searched many sites dedicated to arcade machines, pinball manufacturers, etc.

Right now, I will continue to be there for my friend until he passes away, so hang in there.

Well, I came home from San Jose at 1 am last night to find a large box in the middle of the kitchen (I think my wife was trying to make a statement?). I had been gone for a couple of days. I opened it this morning and it survived shipping, even though the box was a bit beat-up.

I will need your help in finding out about this machine. I still cannot find any information regarding it. I took several pictures for you to look at. I cannot imagine this is the only one of its kind.

The machine is not a coin-op as you can see by the metal plate below the start button. It looks, however, to be convertible and there are two leads that appear to be for a coin mechanism, with a counter above on the inside of the door.

The sounds are very Atari 2600 like. The machine hums when on, and when play is initiated via the start button, the "charge" theme (I don't know what it's really called, but it's the organ music played in a baseball stadium that gets the crowd to yell "Charge!") is played.

The single plastic ball is shot up the right side of the playfield, and drops through some very fragile looking pins to fall in either one of three pockets, or through sensors over the strip of cards at the bottom. After five shots, the score is tallied and displayed as a number; the better the hand, the higher the number. The second player then tries to beat the first players score. Five hands are played for each player, each game.

Thanks, Mudfud, for finding this. I still haven't received my punishment from the wife. I think it will be withheld for the time being. I made the purchase before my buddy's onset of symptoms. I hope she'll understand.

Question Re: cool poker pachinko machine

OK, now this is weird. The wife came home for lunch, walked right over to the machine and stated "Oooh! That's a nice one! Where did you find that??"

So, this must be some type of psychological warfare, right?
