Default From the "What the heck are they thinking" files...

Perhaps it is caused by the sour economy, or perhaps it stems from pure ignorance, but what the heck are some people thinking when they post!?

I found this 'gem' on good ol' craigslist... a 'rare' vintage machine that needs to be restored. (Hopefully this pachi was not posted by a PT member. If so, )

    Rare Pachinko Game

Not sure where this guy did his research, but apparently less rare machines are selling on-line for "$800-$1,000!!" (Please let me know where so that I can sell the unrestored vintages I purchased for under $40 and make a windfall profit!). Maybe this person is a laid-off marketing executive using his skills to sell stuff in his garage to pay his mortgage.

Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and wonder where some folks get their information from. What would be more frightening is if someone actually paid that amount for a machine needing restoration.

The last line of the ad, just before the phone number seems to have two words omitted.

I'm sure he meant to put: "Cash only. Suckers welcome."

This is a more rare Okumura Yuki model, probably from the 1960's based on the "Yellow Submarine"

Apparently, he's been shopping with Bill C. On Vintage Pachinko.

What the seller doesnt understand is that bill sells machines that are usually exceptional quality, and for this he charges and exceptional price.
He puts alot of work into restoring them.

I love to see his before and after pictures. I cant wait to see what he can do with this tore up machine. I am no longer amazed with what bill can do... Only Amused...

I wouldn't even attempt to work on this machine... It looks like something only Mudfud could handle!

Wow! That machine is in a really bad state. I would also like to see what it looks like after Vintage Pachinko restores it.
