if I get it then, i'll take detailed pix, especially the stickers for you.

and, since it's so "different", i'll bring it to pachiCON in las vegas, go pachiCON!

You get it, I was maybe going to fire $85 as a bid close to Zero Hour. Looks like a lot of polishing to be done on the pins.

Didn't I read somewhere on here that you really love the finish work ?

I would be more than happy to send you some!* I have a lot. It works very well but smells heavily of ammonia. You can see the results though - not bad.

I would suggest if you are not going to bid over $100.00,

don't bid at all or you will drive the price up.

i'll have to compare that to brasso, since it has oxalic acid and ammonia , too, so maybe they're similar? as long as something eats off the oxidation (lemon juice, mild acid), I guess they work the same. it's the degree of scrubbing that I don't like, but gotta get used to.

Trust me, I was winning an auction for a Classic Modern pachinko with a total of $5.50 until some schlub drove the price to my maximum, bid over my maximum was winning the auction and 13 minutes and 33 seconds later retracted their last to let me win the auction for 101.00 ... My maximum.

I'm not going to do anything like that to anyone else.

I complained to eBay about shill bidding, but they haven't gotten back to me, if I don't hear from them by Saturday, I have to close the deal at that price ... Haven't paid up yet, I have 5 days after auction end to pay. Wanted eBay to have a chance to investigate, but even at the close price, I wouldn't have bid it if I wasn't prepared to pay it. It's still a fair price (to my mind), but my rump is a little sore from a n00b bidding trying to hump me.

And that is why you can't reach through the flat screen monitor to strangle people.

I got it. I've been watching for one since that other Narita showed up in a member's post last June. Sorry to outbid you, but I really, really wanted it! I'll post lots of photos.

Well, I'll always consider adding pachinkos from the early 50's to my "museum," and the mechanism on the Narita machines is very unusual, so it was doubly qualified. Now I need to sell my vintage Sankyo and Toyomaru to make room for it.

I got the seller to email me some close-up photos by mentioning that I had previously paid as much as $500 for a vintage machine in good condition (true, but I didn't bid that high on this one). I was worried about the condition of the playfield, since it was hard to see details in the auction photos. The first set of close-ups were so blurred I couldn't tell anything, but the second set I requested looked ok (cross-fingers). My maximum bid was pretty high, but I sniped it so I wouldn't drive the price up early.

Congrats, it's in the safe hands of a PT Member now

Will be interested to see more of this one and how it works...
