VINTAGE!! "SANYO" PACHINKO MACHINE -NO BALLS- WORKS!! - eBay (item 130293020550 end time Mar-17-09 22:21:18 PDT)

I have the same machine in my garage, without the water damage on the cell... I'll sell it to you for $131.50!!!

for all the same reasons as the last time you asked this question. offering to sell in that manor is why ebay eliminated the bidders names. even the devil ebay can see this would be unethical.

    hey johnny,

I, too, watch ebay and wonder why some machines don't get even $40 and some go way high, like this one, even with a broken tray (which would be $50 from vintage)

maybe this one has the NINJA appeal to sell it. if you're in to that ninja/samurai sneaky assasin thing, this might make it special for you.

you have the exact machine, with a complete tray. i'll bet if you talked it up: ninja, working, complete, restored... you could get at least $100, too.

and, maybe someone is running the price up? it looked like someone there had only bid with this seller, so either it's an inside job or it's a new ebay person really into that machine (doubt it's one of us, eh?)

if you do figure out the winning formula to selling pachinko's for high prices, then i'm sure that all of us would like to hear it. I'm thinking that if I post a 'chinko for sale (some day I better), i'd post a youtube to show that it does work. that seemed to work really well for a modern machine that sold on ebay before Xmas. the guy got over $200 on a so-so machine, but really talked it up on his video... not sure how you talk up a vintage, though...

    talking it up is easy

for some one that has noidea how to fix it... reading that it works and seeing that it works is worth a whole lot more to me..

if i were going to buy a pinball machine i would have to see it work before i paide good money for it.. trusting some who says it works might be ok but proving it takes out all questions..

i agree a video is where your gona get the extra bucks

I too have this machine except with a slightly different background. I definitely overpaid for it off of Craigslist. Now that I have read all I can about these machines I have a much more realistic idea about what to pay though I'd still overpay if it was a machine I really wanted and have been guilty of doing that recently. I think some sellers out of not knowing any better think because they are vintage that they must be worth tons.

don't feel bad if it was your first machine. we all start somewhere. I paid what I now think was too much for several of my early purchases, but they were still good experiences and I can sell them for what I paid (esp. now that they're "restored")

I like craigslist b/c we don't have to pay $50-90 for shipping, sight unseen.

maybe garage sales, estate sales are good finds, too, since people are just trying to get rid of a dead relative's stuff that doesn't have any sentimental or historical value to them.

I guess that ultimately it depends what it's worth to YOU. unfortunately, I keep finding "unique" machines that I "need"

So, I'm new to the addiction, this is my first post here and ... err ... I was one of the bidders on the machine, though not the highest.

I've got a friend in the Nashville area who's my receiving depot as I live in Canada. He's currently holding two of my purchased machines at his place, a Vintage Heiwa and a Nishijin. Both in need of a good cleaning.

I also just closed on a Classic Modern, but I fired a dispute at eBay about shill bidding. I'll pay for that machine when eBay passes ruling (that will likely shaft me for my max bid that won the auction), but I don't mind paying the price I bid. If I did mind, I wouldn't have bid it.

I'll be in Nashville on April 6th for my Christmas (3 pachinkos, 4000 balls, tumbler, walnut media) ... "To: Me, From: Me" gifts are the best.

The Heiwa is claimed (from Craigslist) to be 1968, but the date stickers are gone, I suspect it's more likely mid-70's.

    The Nishijin is 1972.

The Heiwa was the machine to break my cherry.

Here's a better look at what was described as "Happy Frog"

    welcome to the group.

if you're coming south in april, you may want to check the craigslist in nashville, too, for other pachi's to bring home with you. use craigshelper (now called something else, it will forward you), to get listings within X miles from the zip code you start in.

collecting machines is definitely an addiction, but most of us consider it a fun hobby, and with pachitalk members, and actual community.

    have great fun!

SearchTempest ... Thanks ... I just used it and found the machine I own still listed there ... LOL ... Happy Frog. Although, every time I see him, he seems more like "Put Upon, Reluctant Parent Frog."

    Maybe that's why I don't have children.
