Default Penguin Paradise or Marine Carnival?

Marine Carnival and Penguin Paradise - 2 more of the machines I've seen online and might be interested in buying...but I haven't seen any mention of these two. Any thoughts? (Other than I'd better like steel drum music if I get MC)

I HAD the list narrowed down to 2 machines.....now I'm back up to about 12 that I'd pick up quick if the opportunity arose and the price was right.

Thanks so much, btw, for all the support! this list rocks :smt035

PP was my first machine and it's ok. I have a spin luck and a dragon dice, and the PP still gets its share of play. But then again, I like the Zett 30 quite well also, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Gary L.

I've never played either one of these and theme is everything. One thing I did notice is the penguin paradise looks to be a basic 3 reel slot and the Marine appears to have a 4th reel. Generally speaking machines with the 4th bonus reels are going to be more fun in the long run to own.

No it doesn't have a holographic display.

Then again, no pachislo does that I'm aware of.

ok maybe I miss labled what I mean, I have seen some sites call that digital overlay of stuff halographic. So what I mean is: does it have that kind of display that lights/animates up over the reels.(LCD) Ya know like Neo Pharoah Zett??

That's EL Vision... and no, the the PP doesn't have that.
That's used on Neo Pharoh Zetz, Neo PlanetT, and Neo Magic Pulsar. They all have a transparent monochrome LCD.

There are other machines that use a transparent COLOR LCD to produce images over the reels, along with color images around the reels.
Examples are Beast Sapp, Sinbad Adventure, Hanabi Hyakkei, and Monkey Magic.

That term "holographic" to describe them originated with a... well... "creative" ad writer from a certain vendor (a.k.a. BS'er). Unfortunately, others have followed suit and used the term as well.

Marine Carnival does not have a fourth reel. It does have a red LED display. It also has a nice dial volume control that actually works! The music and sound effects are nice, especially when the Jaws movie sound effects occur with the shark appearance on the LED display. This machine is very family friendly.
