I've recently inherited what I believe is a 60's machine. It's set up using the AC to DC transformer, but I'm interested in converting it back to battery operation. Does anyone happen to know if it likely was originally made for a battery or for it's current (no pun intended) electrical configuration. I searched, but was unable to find any posts on proper wiring when converting to a battery.

Thanks in advance for your most appreciated help,
    Ditch

I like the new forum layout! Something happened to the pictures that I uploaded in post number 5. There appear to be dogs in place of the machines that I own - I don't own any dogs, but they look really cute.

By the way, how is everyone?

That's what happens when you leave a vintage thread unattended for too long, the dogs move in!!

Just be glad the sheep didn't find this thread first!!

There has been little progress from last I posted. There are some pics to edit and I will post them. I am setting up my workbench to start the restoration process again - I guess this means I'll have to start coming up with snippy humorous remarks again!

I did make progress on my sub woofer project, and I will be posting that as well.

Wow, how I miss working on this project.

There are many things that seem to slip by that you love, while working on things that are mundane and trivial, forcing themselves into the forefront.
I'm still fixing things at my job and now it never seems to end. I have switched positions and now I am the chief Mac Guyver / Rocket Scientist putting the skills to the test.
I miss bending pins and trying hard to figure out how a foreign piece of antiquated entertainment equipment works.

I come home sometimes an see my workshop in disarray and it seems an insurmountable tasks to put it back to the point that I loved and enjoyed.

There are COBWEBS on my favourite project!

I can relate Shock. I've been so busy with work and travel I just cant seem to get my hobbies on the priority list (throw in renovating a 50's era home and caring for an elderly parent).

Thats why I make it a priority to stop by PachiTalk everyday! Its just part of my work routine now especially when I'm out of town sitting in hotel rooms.

I have set aside time to work on my Kanless this weekend and I'm excited!!!

That makes perfect sense. I have not made it part of my routine as of recent... and that needs to be addressed.

If you're already on a computer, why the heck not? I also seem to find time to hunt CL and Ebay everyday so I think we all can make time for the little things. Even as busy as we are in our daily lives. Unless of course you live out in the woods wihout a cell tower for your Aircard (my saving grace) or a WiFi hot spot (not as reliable as my old Aircard), I see no reason these days to NOT to be connected.

Hope life is treating you well otherwise!

The town I live just outside of has a population of 820 people. I had to use a satellite up-link, there is no 3g / aircard cell stuff here. Cell phones don't work to well out here. I am super excited, as now DSL has been installed and we are good to go. I'm working on some of the circuitry for the launcher effects again. I just found some of the switches that I will use on the launcher arm to activate the effect.
