    Default What's the better deal?

Okay, I haven't yet purchased a pachislo, but I have been going in circles PLENTY trying to figure out what the "best deal" is. Not necessarily CHEAPEST, just BEST.

Try and follow this...I found a machine I like (Outlaw), which retails for about $350. One supplier has a one year warranty, but is local to me, so I could pick it up without shelling out the extra for S&H. The other dealer has lifetime warranty. Is the warranty worth the extra I'd pay for S&H?

Or another scenario is a machine that's say $50 cheaper but has only one year warranty, as opposed to lifetime warranty, and either way I pay S&H.

I just want to be sure that whatever I get is the best all around deal. I realize that these are made to go 24/7 at casinos, but I've got this 13 year old boy...nuff said?

BTW, thanks for the advice thus far...it's really helping me to feel like I have a CLUE! :smt115

If your willing to spend $350 I would try my luck on ebay and save probably at least $100.

Outlaw is a fun machine and I think your Son will like it too. Especially in bonus.

It's not so much spending $350 as just figuring out if a lifetime warranty is 'the way to go' regardless of machine. The Outlaw was just a sample.

I agree with David, Ebay would be the way to go, but only from certain dealers. If you find one that you like let us know and post the link. You will get much advice about whatever dealer it is and that should help you decide.

Personally I like the lifetime warranty, I have a teenage daughter and her and her friends go crazy on the 4 machines I have, they sometimes smack em and hit the buttons a little rough once they get into it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

I don't think a lifetime warranty is worth the $70 price of shipping on a machine that costs $300 or less. You get a year, and chances are if anything is wrong with it, it'll break in that time. Even your 13 year old is nothing compared to what these machines are made to take in a casino.

Plus, if something were to break after a year, you have the forum here and you can still get help from the tech support at the various vendors.

BTW, I have a 13 year old myself and she loves these machines!

As you pointed out. The machines are designed to withstand the abuse of 24/7 play.

If something were to happen it would most likely occur within the first month I would guess or upon arrival to you. The lifetime warranty gives great piece of mind, but after a few months the likelyhood of the machine getting the same attention it did when it was new to you itsn't very good, so it becomes a fun thing when friends and family come over and gets used maybe once a month.

That's why I cycle through them. I keep one at a time. Play it for a while then sell it. Now if I had a Harley or Spin Luck I wouldn't sell it.

So in the end I wouldn't worry too much about the warranty, but do buy from a good vendor who will back up his machines.

Check with the vendor. If their lifetime warranty does not cover the shipping costs to and from, they may agree to fix it for life but if you have to pay to ship it, it won't be worth a whole lot. Simply because that money would be better spent on a new machine. Offset your shipping costs with what you would have to pay in sales tax if you buy it local.

I agree with David, shop ebay first. If you can land an outlaw for less including shipping the warranty does not really come to much into play then.

Our member do get some deals from certain vendors on ebay.

pachinko_pallace will give you an extra 450 tokens
demos777 will give you $15 off the shipping

Just for being a member here. 8-)

Not only do the two vendors mentioned above give special deals for members of this site; they are each extremely reliable and honest based on everything that you read about their sales, services and responsiveness on this site. I would buy a machine from either of them; and already have from one.
