I didn't watch the whole thing, but that looks very cool. I love the light show!

Oh I wouldn't expect anyone to. It's a crappy video all things considered. It's a hard unit to take video of because of the lighting. But it helps give an idea of what it's like. Personally I love the animated characters. They are so much more entertaining than the boring old video we've seen hundreds of times on the old pachinko and pachislo. It's nice they got a little original.

Who knows... I might need to get one of the ones with the super deformed characters on the playfield, but I think it's the lower payout unit.

NICE What are all the parts that can move on the new one?

It sound like you have the skill stop also? Is that worth $500???

I have the Star Wars skill slot too, though it's of the same era as the first SW pachinko. I don't know if there is a "new" slot like this Vader Pachinko, but I both hope and dread it. Star Wars + Pachi = expensive.

I don't care for the Star Wars skill slot though. Honestly it's rather boring. I mean it's not horrible, but I guess I was spoiled by the Marvel Heroes one, it's far more entertaining.

I've seen a couple of the SW skill stops show up, but the $$$ seems high just because it is SW. Hiro may have some soon and I want, "need" one for the collection!

Besides the Vader Helmet and the light saber, are there any other moving features or characters?

That was the second one I'd gotten, so I think it was linked to the first one. I'd only used it less than an hour, I was amazed too.

Indeed, my R2 is quite the project. He's not a lot farther along sadly. I've gotten some of the electronic systems done, but they are on the bench and not installed. Actually I need to tear him apart to get any farther along. He needs to be preped and painted before I can move forward with more things.

I'm a member of the Builders Council of the R2Builders group... so the Star Wars theme now makes a little more sense I guess.

It is fun... but again I'm finding, as with my old one I don't play it nearly as much as I would if there were some ball automation. I'm not sure why ball lifters seem to be mythic. I guess I just need to buy a crap-load of balls and have a bucket or something. I don't think making it autocycling is the way I want to go.

Oh well. Having a counter on winnings might be fun too... I need to spend some time in the mod part of the forum I guess.

There are at least 2 other R2 Builders members here - myself and Rik1138. I have yet to start building (don't have the money to dedicate right now), however Rik is far along on his, and has posted links to his website with pictures. We're both in the Los Angeles chapter. I brought the machine in my avatar to R2LA last year - did you by chance see the webcast?

    Good luck. Good life. SANKYO

In the black frame huh? It's gonna be just like the 'rare red framed Star Wars I', since the black frame is the Bisty version, the red and gold are Sankyos.

It's obvious they haven't even seen one in person yet since they label it as that 'awful gold/green' frame. How the hell do they know if it's awful if they haven't even seen it in person? The green is the LEDs, which flash green/red/blue/white/purple. Guess that means I've got 5 frames in one!

I think the green some people might mean is the color of the "clear" part of the frame. You know how a sheet of glass is greenish when you view it from the edge? The "clear" parts seem to have this effect when the lights are off. I don't notice it when the lights are on though. Usually acrylic is totally clear, but the frame has that green cast, as I said... like glass. I don't find it objectionable. All in all I think the frame is beautiful, but in red or black... the gold just looks bad.

I'm still waiting to hear if I can get my hands on a red one.
