    Default Ball handling system questions

I was thinking of making a ball handling system.
I've drawn some plans on paper, tested the thing in a physics simulator on pc, and it seems to work.

But I was wondering one thing.
I want to make the system so that the balls don't start refilling every time you win like 3 balls. Because then the whole thing would rattle continuously, the ball lifter would go on / off / on / off / on etc.
So I made the system so that first 500 or so balls can be won before the refilling starts.

Do you guys thing this is worse / better for the ball lifter motor ?
Or how it would do with the noise the whole system makes ?

One last question, I once saw here a system for 5 or so machines. It had a central ball reservoir with rectangular pipes running sideways of it.
The front of those pipes was transparent for allowing the owner to check for ball jams. And it had t he possibility to stop ball flow by jamming a card in between.
Does anyone still know who's system this was and has a link to it?
I thought it was compirates', but after looking through different searches, I couldn't find anything.

If your talking modern machines, I think the noise from them will cover most sounds from the ball handling system.
If the system is set to fill the hoppers of the machines fairly full, they'll pay out for a while before balls need to be lifted.
The orange lifters have little to go wrong, the motors can run 24 hours a day in my estimation without trouble - only 1 moving part, no brushes to where out.

Looking forward to seeing your design!

all you have to do is add a ball lifter with an extra long tube and the whole thing would be automatic!

That's the one thank you !!!

Birdbrain, you are totally right, but i'm trying to keep my system low to the ground
So that means, low angles, but still rolling balls

PS: this was denhomer posting, but i'm at kitty's pc now
