    Default what the....??

I've been reading a lot of posts, learning PLENTY, and finding out that instead of 2 or 3 machines I want....I now want about 8 of them! yikes. Anyhow...on the websites I've visited in my attempt to go broke ASAP, I've seen some listed as having 110 volt power source...I've seen others listed as 115 and 120...what's the deal? And I've seen on different sites everything from 5 amp converter to 8 amp. I really want to stay OUT of the casinos (why ruin a perfect track record??) but I'd rather not purchase a fire hazard for my home.

Another question regarding one of the importers- 7mileslots warehouse is local for me, but they only list a city and phone number to contact on their website. I've called to try to make an appointment to visit, but haven't gotten a call back. I don't want to buy from someone that I can't get a hold of if there's trouble with the machine later. Anyone have any experience with their products and service? :smt100

    Thanks!

In Japan pachislos run on either 100 volts (Japan's normal electrical power) or 24 volts (supplied by the parlor). The 100 volt machines will work fine over here at 110 to 120 volts. The 24 volt machines need a transformer that will be installed by the seller. These seem to run from about 5 amp to 8 amp. The 8 amp ones are better and run a little cooler. However 5 amp should work fine on most machines. You pretty much have to leave that decision in the hands of the supplier.

In short virtually all the machines you wound buy in this country (unless you are buying bulk unrefurbished machines) will work fine on normal household AC.

Thanks, guys! I called a little while ago, and have an appointment to see the warehouse with the un-refurbished, nonworking powered models tomorrow. This weekend I'll hop in the car and go visit the "working" machines at 7 mile fair, but after reading all these posts, I'm getting all rilled up (and annoying the boyfriend all at once!) Can't wait for the tax return, but I'm going to do PLENTY more research first, to make sure something I'll enjoy.

BTW...I saw a post about a mudroom table from target (online it's something like $60 per table)...if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, I believe it was walmart online that had a couple comparable size tables for about $30 or $40. Just a thought.

It's harder to find the table or stand that is 30"-32" high. That's the good thing about the Target Mudroom tables. They are the right height (at least for me and for my bar stools  ) and have room on the sides of the machines for a drink or for tokens in a small container.

I darn near spent a lot of money at a furniture store before someone here on the Pachitalk forum recommended the Target stands. Of course, that expensive table was taken back once it was recognized that one machine was not even close to being enough.

Okay....first off, I hadn't paid so much attention to the HEIGHT of the table as much as the width and depth of it...but I was looking at some of the end tables listed here

My father made a makeshift computer desk pretty cheaply once upon a time. He went to Menards (or some other oversized home supply store), bought a slab of countertop material, and set it up on cinderblock. Now, NO, it did NOT look professional, what with the blocks and all...but it was VERY functional from the oversized space from the countertop to the little cubby areas that were created by the cinderblocks. And if you've got that creative bug up your sphincter...the possibilities are endless, even for multiple machines.

    Hope that helped a little?
