Shipping a Vintage Part deux, aka hanabi's quest

Okay as tentatively mentioned in another thread, okay threatened...

I would be interested in bringing a Vintage to the UK from the US or in fact anywhere!!

I have previously dismissed this idea due to presuming it to be very expensive, and the £ isn't exactly strong at the moment...

And also worry about damage that may be caused in transit, although If I think logically about it, I'm sure there is less to damage on a vintage then on a Modern??

Also, there is the fact that many sellers may not be prepared to ship to me, and then there was that slight deviation when my Pachinko Contest Prize (spiderman neo) ended up on the wrong plane to Canada for a little holiday before joining me

So I have a few reservations, but are they justified??

Can anyone here put me out of my misery and give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to ship and any other drawbacks??

wow. that's several hundred dollars to get a vintage to you from the u.s.

maybe you should coax your friends that visit the u.s. to check an extra large piece of luggage home to get pachinkos to you?

When you factor in what a Vintage sells for over here and the lack of choice, shipping one over
starts to look interesting though...
