    Question Can't open machine.

Okay. I just got this slot machine from a neighbor, and it's in decent condition but I know they didn't keep up with the maintenance so I wanted to clean the parts on the inside (if needed). So I look in the back of it and only see one thing that looks like the door release, but when I push the latch (or what seems to be a latch) down..it just clicks and nothing else happens ...I've looked all around on the inside and have found nothing other than that one latch that could open it. From the back side looking in, the thing is on the far left, behind the coin drop.

if you tip the machine on its back you will find a large hole in the bottom that the coin would drop out of, reach up and youll find a lever that latches the door to the frame push it up and the door should pop open. once it is open wire the latch in the unlock position.

There isn't a hole on the bottom, only one on the back.

On all the Pachislos I have seen, There are two latches that work in tandem. Each is about 5 inches from the top and bottom of the machine. it will be a triangle type tab that is latched over a flat piece of metal. Pulling down on this latch will cause both to rotate about the flat metal and the door will open. If the door is tight, you may have to "jiggle" it a little.

if you look on the left you will see those two that bend at an angle(behind the screw mount for the reset switch) one of these actuates the latches it must be moved either up or down to open the door
