They may not have had speed requirements yet. If the motor says 24VAC, then 24VAC it shall be! I have spoken!!!

If you had a variac, it would be interesting to see what it did though.

    No offence taken!

As for the button I might be able to provide an explaination for it. It appears to work the same as my one modern machine the origianl version of Poochi. The rotation of the dial adjusts the strength of the shots and of course they are constantly 'shot out'. The button is a 'pause' button that allows you to stop the shooting of the balls WITHOUT moving the dial. Thus you can retain the position on the dial that you want but control the flow of the balls with the pause button.

At least.. that's the way mine works and they it was explained to me.

    Cool machine!

Just saw this on ebay and thought I remembered Elex Rotary from somewhere...

Vintage 60-70s Nishijin Sophia Pachinko Machine & Balls - eBay (item 360201676282 end time Nov-01-09 18:36:20 PST)

No shooter or anything, just looks like a B to me...Different than the one Hanabi posted and the shooter knob one too...

Any ideas why some say Elex Rotary on them...do you think it was a line that had the option of a shooter knob or something totally different??
