    Default nishijin A, electric shooter?

    hi guys.

I found this machine in fresno (central valley, CA) on craigslist.

told the guy I would drive down to get it later this week for $50. I have the excuse that I need to visit relatives there anyway.

anyone ever seen an A with an electric shooter? seems like A's were too old for this, weren't they? could someone have added this later? it looks original to me in the pix.

WOW.. that is unusual! I would be really interested to know if that shooter was original. That's just crazy off in respects to time line!

It even looks like there's a Single Shot loading hole! I'm thinking someone put a lot of effort into modifying the one!

you think that's a single shot hole or maybe the lock hole?

and what is that thing that says "ER"? that makes it perfect for me

That hole is the lock opening, too high for single shooter to me.

I wouldn't waste time, go get it right now! Wake em up!

so compirate, have you ever seen a nishijin A with electric shooter?

do you think this was done "after market"?

This and that other one are the only 'vintage' knob shooters I've ever seen. Maybe they didn't have as strict retirement standards then.

Can't say why they would have done this aftermarket, unless it's an arcade thing. Have to look for any Nishijin markings on any of the shooter parts.

I would think it would make it a little harder to aim properly, if your use to a flip lever.

When were the 'A's made?? Like I said in the other thread, the Japanese site said shooter knobs fist came out in '72..

The one in the other thread also has the 'ER' on the front...do any of the non electric knob Nishijin's have the ER on them??

    anyone here buy it?

Okay, I got a theory (don't laugh!!) on this ER marking we see on the Nishijins

I have noticed recently a Nishijin pachinko for sale with the words Elex Rotary
    on it, see attached pics

Perhaps this is what the ER stands for??

to answer Chewys question i am the one that "scooped him"

spoted the machine on sat and made the drive yesterday

i was beat and only had a short chanch to look it over but im perty confident to say its original

there are a few things changed around the shooter to make the machine still function

the seesaw seems a litttle different in the way it opperates.. and i dident see the push rod to reset the seesaw either.. shooter motor covers where it would be?

more to come.. really excited about it

Yeah, just be thankful that shipping is too costly or the risk of damage too great,

or I would be all over those too

well i know i dont have the power to award pachi points but Hanabi deserves a ton.. There is a small sticker on the feeder tray that says Elex Rotary and when the machine is powered up there is a light lit that says ER

transformer lable says 25.2 volts at 2 amp.. volt meter says about the same

as u can see in the picture it says 24 volt to the shooter motor

should i be using a step down transformer to plug it in?? I do have one problem, kinda it seems to shoot to fast (2 spheres a sec) would a step down slow it down?? the last thing i wana do it hurt it

wanted to know what everyone thought about putting 12.6 volt to the reg light system?? (jackpot and empty tray light) probably to much?? my hope it to have one plug in for it??

works great the motor has loosed up a bit and starts right away ..

if u look ing the pictures u can see a button on the shooter handle.. well right now when u push that buttone it actualy stops the shooter.. i would have bet the farm that u had to push it to make it work??? might be wired wrong but that was one of the few things that was not cut?

    and on a last note

the "B" model that was found a few weeks back.. he stated you could play the machine without power?? mine does not, no power no play.. the handle is to turn the motor on and u twist it to tension the spring more or less.. just an interesting observation.. Compirate is right if your used to a flipper its hard to get the ball right where u want it

Good, just wanted to be sure you didn't spark it! Check the bulbs, maybe they're 24-28V also?

I guess touch rings hadn't been invented yet. I understand the stop button, you don't want to have to find that sweet spot all over again, although I thought that was more important while you were waiting for stocked spins to play out.

    I'm seriously jealous!
