I thought I'd try my luck here since I'm not having much success on Craig's List.

Looking to Buy 2 Pinball Machines

Plus, I'd rather deal with a pachitalk member that I know I can trust.

My Craig's List stories thus far are somewhat laughable.

I drove 30 miles to check out a pinball machine about a week ago and the seller actually raised his price by $250 between our phone call and my arrival at his house. I'm sure his plan all along was to squeeze me for more $$$ thinking I wouldn't walk away empty handed, but I left on principle. What a waste of time!

Another guy wanted me to drive to his house, look at his machine, and then make him an offer. I kept telling him I wasn't going to drive 25 miles each way without knowing what his asking price was, especially in light of my first experience...but I just couldn't get him to state a figure.

I hope these are isolated incidents and not a reflection of all pinball enthusiasts in my area.

Not sure where you live in Illinois, but if you're near cook county there's a guy highly recommended by Stern that works on and sells quality pinns. My wife cleaned my work station today so I'll PM his name and number if and or when I can find where she put my stuff. I keep telling her that its not mess its a system!!!

I see a guy in West Chicago on Mr. Pinball Classifieds that offers "collector" quality pinns, but he ain't cheap!

I also see a guy in McHenry that is offering several good models. I don't know anything about him though.

check the yellow pages for amusement machine operators in your area.they might have a few older machines they pulled off their route and would sell them.also,if there are any arcades in your area,you might find one there.

this place is local here and very high priced, I stopped in with my sonsa around Christmas time.

Follow this link and click on Illinois. There's a place in Elk Grove Village and one in Bensonville. They won't carry the models you're looking for but they could point you in the right direction.
