OK! OK! My next movie will be a talkie.

Sory for the tech talk, like I said I'm cutting and trying, I don't really know what I'm doing.

Did I mention that so far this was all built from scraps, it hasn't cost me anything yet. It's amazing what we throw out at work.

Beachcat, is this what you were talking about? With the colored pegs?

As for the house advantage the new pictures show that I'm bending a piece of polycarb to make the funnel for the winner coins, If they miss the funnel on the sides that makes the house the winner. I don't know the odds yet untill I play it with the funnel in place.

When the clamps come off the funnel it will come about an inch from each edge.

yes very close. they have games like you a making at ChuckE cheese. you just need a way to drop/shoot the tokens in and alot more of them. very inventive!!

Have the token enter the tray area via a Plinko board with a nice poster laminated to it. That way, you eliminate players trying to time out the slider and get the token exactly where they want it. It will truly become a game of chance.

Yes.. I like the idea of a pachinko sliding back end for the coins to fall down.

But be careful in the shop! I was working in my shop this weekend and trying to cut a groove in a small piece and in doing so jammed up my band saw when it snapped a piece of.

Once I got that piece out and cut another to try again, instead of LEARNING my lesson, I just tryed it on a bigger more dangerous machine. So there I was, using my table saw in a way I KNEW I shouldn't and things were going well when BANG! The piece flew out of my hand but not before slapping my little finger so hard that it bruised it through the nail, dug a nice gash across the end of my ring finger and slammed the thumb on my other hand so hard across the finger nail that it made it bleed from underneath the nail.

Then to add insult to injury (and another injury) the piece of wood flew into my adbomen and now I have a 4 inch bruise there.

I just turned everything off, closed the garage door and went in the house. Haven't been back out there since. My fingers still hurts!

    My wife... has no sympathy.

Maybe I'll work up the nerve to go out there tomorrow.

Cool looking device you got going there!

    Hope you're OK...Been there...done that too!

It's weird, After an accident in the shop...Miner, thank god, My first thought is to always say in my head "Why did I do something like that? I know better!!!"

Now, if you enter my basement/workshop and intend on using any power tools, I have safety glasses hanging around, clear areas to work, and most importantly, the mindset to imagine EVERYTHING I am about to do BEFORE I do it.

I have no problem when a project goes wrong because of my stupidity, but when an injury occurs. it scares me.

When I work in the basement, I always remind myself that "Two is a luxury, one's a necessity". I am refering to my eyes. Safety Goggles always...no matter if your drilling a hole in wood, or polishing a slot machine casting. It's not worth getting hurt.

That's my helpful tip for the day...Glad your OK, and take a deep breath and return to what you love...CONSTRUCTING COOL THINGS!

    Sorry to hear that Rusty.

I have had a few close calls with this project but no blood yet.

The power mitre saw doesn't like 1" strips of pollycarb. The stuff will bend in half, straighten back out. melt, and even slow down a bullet but the saw made it explode!
The motor I had taken from the kids toy didn't have enough power (and the kids wanted it back) so I found another motor in a cool lamp that looked like it was doing the Hula Dance. It turns slow, is A/C power, and if it comes to some resistance it reverses itself.
I'm working on how to hook it up.

Awesome work there Digital! I too have found that my band saw doesn't like to cut certain things.

OK, I started to screw things togeather instead of using clamps. I changed the motor and had to make a linkage out of "Mighty Putty" I couldn't think of any other way.

I also put a new vidio on YoutubeThis one has sound!

I'm having a hard time working on this thing because the kids want to play it all the time.

    Here is the vidio link

Here is a picture of the lamp before I sacrificed it to the game gods.

It seams hard to get the coins out of that hole you made, how come you didnt have the ones that fall come outside of the machine and have some sort of a catch outside so it is easier for you to grab them?
