    Default Picking Up This Tomorrow...

I will be going Indianapolis tomorrow to pickup a Williams Slugfest.

Not a true pinball I know but I always wanted one and the price was very right.

It has the normal side fading but I can get a full set of new cabinet decals if I want for like $180.

The machine has a new DMD display, still has the working baseball card dispenser and original topper.

The machine also gives out baseball cards if you get so many runs during a game.

I has a cool feature that allows you to throw fast balls, curve balls, normal pitch and screw balls in the game. It has a magnet under the playfield to make the ball move during the pitch.

You can also steal bases and be thrown out by the second player.

I will make sure I get a video or two up once the machine is home.

Have fun with that one! I have one too and people like the baseball card dispenser even though the cards I use are old and the players are mostly forgotten. It's best to use cards that have 1 dull side so they dispense properly. Most newer cards have 2 slick sides.

If the one you are buying is the one that I'm thinking I saw listed recently on Mr. Pinball, then you got a good deal. I would have liked to seen that one for sale back when I bought mine about 3 years ago.

It was probably the one you were thinking of. It was posted on Feb 3.

I just got back and will get the machine in the basement tomorrow, not up to it tonight. I also ended up getting a replacement monitor for my Megatouch machine.

I have a ton of old baseball cards and I might even put a few "special" ones in the machine to temp my friends.

I've been looking for one of those or a '61 Williams pitch and bat to place between my two pins! I saw one listed in Mr. Pinball Classifieds located in Elkhart, IN. Let us know what you think of the game once you've had a chance to get to know it. Good luck and congrats.

I played Slugfest when I was younger and I knew I would eventually get one. I was looking for a good deal for like 3 years now and just got lucky.

It is a really fun game, it has a bunch of cool little things to do. Like hit the Heckler when the bases are loaded. Also if you are playing in single player mode the CPU chooses the pitches.

You can even steal bases and use pitch hitters if needed.
