    OK. That is definitley a motor for the ball launcher. If you look closely in photo #4 you can see the launcher ball bearing assembly (that we typically see on such model machines) is hooked up to the motor. Based on your testing, it appears that you can either use the motor to launch the balls or work it manually.

    Way cool find!! I would hang on to that machine and restore it back to it's original condition.

    Are there any stickers/labels on the front that would indicate it's electric? The label just before the word Nishijin on the front tray looks unique.

    I guess those pics solve the voltage question - 24VAC - you can get away with 60 hz instead of 50.
