The 54 sounds right as that is what my machines of the same maker/model/type have on them. This gives and expiration of 79 (1925 + 54) with an estimated manufacture date of 1977.

Of the machines I've worked on, this model seems to be the most simple.

    Good luck with the restoration!

    Enjoy.

    WoW!

Is this a Nishijin C? I have never actually seen one of these.

I believe that Nishijin C's were made for only a couple of years, and are in short supply.
I would love to add your machine to my collection!

Thanks...I can't wait to see it in action, so far it's been clean, clean, clean, my new best friends are Brillo's, Windolene, Metal Cleaner, Cotton Buds and a Toothbrush.
I never imaged there was so much shine to uncover

Made it back on here at last...took the machine apart & cleaned it all and ran out of steam...It's time to get cracking again and get it back in action. I really need some inspiration and I think I need to see it light up...Can anyone advise me on powering my machine, there's three connectors on the back...yellow, white & orange. Once I get that bit done I can check out what needs fixing or replacing.

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to PachiTalk!

I think you'll find the one will rapidly turn into more.

Power is really an 'after thought' on these machines. The only thing the power does is to flash a light (or two) when a jackpot is made and to light a continous light when the upper hopper is empty. Therefore the wiring is pretty straight forward with two circuits: 1) for the jackpot which is switched on the positive side and 2) for the hopper empty circuit which is switched on the negative side. There are three connectios, one for positive, one for negative and one that is switch through the hopper empty negative switch that controlled a 'notification lamp' at the operator's control board in the Pachinko Parlour.

Just do a search on Lights Diagram and you'll find lots of threads on it.

As I said earlier though, the power is secondary. The machine will work and function with out any electricity applied at all... you just won't have the 'fancy lights'. Therefore, my suggestion (and how I do it) is to get the machine working completely mechanically and then worry about the lights. Once you see the machine in action you'll understand TONS better how it works and see how the switches are designed to work. Then you can tackle the wiring issue.. .which should take all of an hour!

Good luck and I hope this helps!
