Default CJ Error - Won't Reset

HELP - I took apart my coin mech and cleaned it good, with no luck clearing the error. It appears the coin mech isn't reseting, because everytime I put a token in, it goes directly into the tray. It appears the little fingers on the mech are stuck up in the path of the token and won't allow any tokens in the machine. I've had this machine for 8 years with no problems...Do I need to replace my coin mech?

if you have an error then the solenoid will be de -energized and divert all tokens to the tray . you need to clear the error before the solenoid will snap back and allow the token to take the path by the sensors . usually turning the key in the door the opposite way from opening it will clear that type of error but you may need to do full reset if it wont work . take some pictures of the front of the door and inside which will give us a better idea whats going on .also check all cables and make sure there seated fully . some times just pulling them off and re-seating them will help make better contact .

What he said, Jeff you beat me to it. One of the suggestions above should do the trick.

Thanks for the quick reply..I did check all connections (seem fine) and I tried the reset with the key, but it dosn't seem to do anything. I am enclosing photos of the door and power supply. I'm not sure how to do a full reset...Thanks

On the power supply. It looks like someone added the switch above the push button on the left. The reset switch in normally a key switch.
    1. turn power off
    2. turn reset switch to on.
    3. turn power on
    4. If you wish to change odds. press the button.
    5. press the spin knob down
    6. turn reset switch to off.

    now you are done

It sounds like you have done everything correct. It might be one of the sensors on the coin mech. You might have to get a new one.

Befor I invest in a new coin mech...does it make a difference as far as a bad sensor in the coin mech, that when I remove the entire coin mech, I still get the same error "CJ"
    Thanks

what your seeing makes total sense , a sensor can be one of two types . a constant high signal that goes low when its interrupted (example 5v normally then 0v when interrupted then back to 5v once the token passes ) or low and goes high when interrupted ( the opposite of the first example) . if you have the first and many machines are . if you have a bad sensor it would read 0v and would be interpreted as a coin blocking the sensor hence the coin jam (CJ) error . also an unplugged sensor would show 0v and again get the same error. On some machines you can test your prognosis by substituting the spin knob sensor in place of the coin sensor and see if the error goes away .

    NEW DEVELOPMENTS
For some strange reason I can now (most times) get the machine to reset, BUT after approx. 10 seconds it goes back into "CJ" mode. I was able to play one tokens worth and right back to "CJ"
