    Default Ban craigs list???

Looks like it was a good week end for craigs list shopping

I aquired a new nishijin from craigs list a few hours ago

Mine seems to be an older version of a Model A

it is an odd one to me since all the balls have to drop to the bottom.. the upper tray where winnings normaly go is blocked?? I don't think it is anything amazing in play field but the way it plays and pays was worth the $20.

I do have a question about it???

on the face there is a lever that turns down 1/4 turn. when turned it lifts a lever/door behind the red winner seesaw. I see no benefit to its opperation. see pictures

just kidding about baning craigs list.. but i think my wife is going to try and block it from our computer

    It's a semi-automatic conversion of a single shot game.

There are 2 styles, one plastic, one metal:

Actually the lever is left over from the old system (the feed hole is the round part right below it). From what's been posted on the board, it's a 'replay' lever - some singles have a button for this feature.

Weird, but an exact duplicate of the plastic one came up on craigslist here in WA state in Seattle, as well as a single shot. Are the stars aligning or what???

$50 ea or best offer. I posted a little earlier thinking about it, but I'd probably suffer a fatal head wound from the wife when I brought them home! I only have 3 (and 1 is parts) right now, I'm not sure what she has to complain about???

Compirate u have some amazing pachinko's
the lever is to release spare winner balls if you hit two at the same time. you can see it in action in my ginza video.

the balls empty to the bottom b/c this was a single shot conversion, so it never had an upper tray to route to.

looks like they just cut the front glass and added the whole mechanism to feed the balls more quickly.

boy, i would love to have that aluminum conversion of compirate's. that is wayyyyy coool.

compirate - how do you display all your pachinko's? do you rotate them on display like a museum?

wish I was near seattle (not really, b/c I am already in trouble for the last 3 machines)

craigslist is booming. I think there's going to be a renaissance of these old machines once people see them. maybe it's that the generation that brought these back from japan (WW II folks) are passing on and the pachinkos are getting found in the attics and garages. good for us (well, sorta)

    Compirate,

Are the 'Single to Multi Shot' conversions "after market" or were they done by the factory? Here's my reason for asking. In looking to build a Vintage Pachinko Database, I want to segregate the machine by a Category which currently consist of SingleShot and MultiShot. I believe the database should be reflective of the way the machines looked originally, with out any 'after market' modifictions. This train of thought is to accomodate those who may have a machine that they are trying research which may be an unconverted or unmodified.

Now, if the factories release converted machines as a prelude to the new multishot designs, then we obviously want to have another category entitled 'MultiConversion'.

    Thanks,

Couldn't honestly say, I haven't seen any other game versions used for this conversion, you would think if it was an aftermarket thing, they would have made them for different makers/models. Perhaps they had a bunch of these in the warehouse as others were changing over to full auto and came up with a conversion so they could unload them. Why 2 kinds, I dunno.

    Hey Lucky,

Here's a suggestion that lots of folks use. Put your photos somewhere else, (Flikr, Photobucket, myspace, etc.). Then put a link on the Craig's list ad pointing to the extra photos.

    Good luck!

Unless you are like me and are skeptical of any links. My wife caught a virus once from a malicious link in a craigslist ad and ever since then I have avoided them.

(Talk about a few spoiling it for everyone! )

There is a way.. using html code to make a image stored elsewhere show up where you want it. Here's the trick.

All html codes are seperated by the Greater Than or Less Than sign. So I don't put an image on here... I will substitute the G-pound side for the greater than sign and the pound sign - L for the less than sign. so... here's the code:

    G# img src="www.website.com/folder/imagename.jpg" #L

Just substitue the URL for the link above and don't forget the quotes. This works in most places and won't create a 'link' that could be misconstrued at malicious.

    Hope this helps!

    Let's try it here.

The above is an image that resides on my personal website, but shown here.

OK.. the image isn't showing. Somewebsite, like this one, use 'smart code' to keep people from doing this type of thing. Although I believe Craig's list will allow the 'remote image' feature and I know that eBay does.
    ______________________________________________________
hmm... just noticed... I mis typed the image name.

    Let's try it again:

    <img src="http://www.rustykey.com/vinpachi/pics/t-cell-001.jpg">

    Let's see if this works.

i have my sony 23 inch hd lcd tv on craigs list, i got this email today

    a scammer!!!

Hi, My name is Jessica Kolba . I have a client that is interested in buying your item, she informed me that the payment will be remmited via a US Money Order.is the price you listed for the item firm?In order to conclude the deal as soon as possible, the Money Order that will be sent to you will include the money for the sales of your item and the shippers fees for organising a home pick up service. You do not need to worry as my shipping company will come to pick the item up from your base for shipment. What I want to clarify is that will you be able to send the shipping charges to the shipping agent through Western Union Money Transfer method as soon as you get and cash the check and you deduct the money for the sales of your item?If you agree to assist in this capacity , send your full name, your address and phone number. Hope to read from you soon. Jessica Kolba
