The Drive-In Movie Theater Experience

I just recently found out that there was a bona-fide drive-in movie theater only about 30mins from my house. We took the kids there last night for a double-feature of "Hotel for Dogs" and "Bedtime Stories". It was a bit chilly, but oh the memories. As someone who grew up on the drive-in it was a fantastic trip down memory lane. The guys who run The Showboat in Hockley, TX did a tremendous job on their 2 screen theater. The audio was transmitted over fm to the car stereo, I only wish they had the old posts and crappy speakers to hang on the window instead, lol. They did have the spiral mostiquito repellent you light and hang on the rear view mirror, although it was to cold for the mosquitos we did think of getting one just to keep warm. The price was actually affordable all things considered. My kids are hooked, they want to go back again and watch movies "the old fashioned way". We will definately go back, only I think we might wait for it to warm up a bit.
