    my newest movie review

    Kick A$$

If you like comic book heros you will like this movie,

its rated R, but some sites seem to think its more like N17 or 18

mostly because a 11 year old girl goes around killing people with no remorse!!!

you have 4 heros at the beginning Kick A$$, Big Daddy, Hit Girl and Red Mist who has a hopped up red Mustang.

the movie is loaded with action and I wouldn't even try to count how many bad guys got killed by Hit Girl

I won't givee away the ending, but it looks like there may be a Kick A$$ II in the future

    I give it a solid 9.

We don't go the movies very often because both of my children are on the swim team which is 5 days a week practice with meets on the weekend. What little time we do have is spent on homework & study, videos from blockbuster, the occasional play-date, and of course pachis.

We watched the movie in 3D which was a great experience in itself. The movie had something for everyone; action, suspense, lots of humor and a tiny bit of romance. The kids will love the movie and you will enjoy it as well.

I would give it 10 Sampson Luckydog tail wags.

Agree ... This movie is a solid 10. How to Train Your Dragon is one the best movies that has come out in a long time. It is always a little awkward when we go to this genre of movie without a kid in tow. But it was so worth it.

    another movie review

    The Losers

If you like the "A" team you will love this movie.

its a modern day version of the A team, lots of action in this one, plenty of stuff gets blown up and a varied supply of weapons are fired.

a squad gets blamed for an attack planned by the CIA and fake their death, then plot to get even.

its loaded with action right from the start till the very end

    I rate it a solid 9!!!

    two more movie reviews

    hot tub time machine

a group of middle age losers go on a ski trip and wind up getting transported back to 1985.

they try not to upset anything because it would make a difference in the future.

but, it doesn't work that way, lots of swearing, some drugs and a little nudity are added into the mix.

it was ok, but i wouldn't bother seeing it again.

    I rate it a 5

    2nd movie is

    ironman 2

if you like ironman 1 this is a must see move.

its not as good as the first one and the first half of the movie was on the slow side.

the action picked up a lot in the 2nd half.

its a long movie almost 2 hours and held my attention once things picked up.

i would watch it again in the future

my rating on this one is 7

    released May 28th

    Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)

this is one of the best movies i've seen in a long time

lots of action from the beginning to the end, it doesn' really have any slow spots

the acting was well done and CGI effects were fantastic.

its a movie for both guys and gals, the guys for the action and hot princess and the ladies for the buff male actors

lots of violence, but no nudity or swearing.

I rate it a solid 10 and would see it again and or buy the blu ray

its been awhile, but, here's 2 more movie reviews.

    Skyline

from the trailers i've seen I thought I would like this movie.

the special effects were good, and if your into sifi you may like it, but, it seemed more like a remake of war of the worlds, lots of action, but, it just didn't do anything for me. I wouldn't see it again

    my luckydog rating is 5

    the Lottery ticket

The movie started out a little slow, but it picked up and kept me intrested all the way thru, the actors did a good job. of course I wouldn't walk around with a 370 million dollar lottery ticket in my pocket for 4 days

its amazing how many friends and enemies you make when you win that much

it was a good movie and I would see it again

my luckydog rating is a solid 8

    my latest movie review

    RED

RED is an excellent movie Retired Extremely Dangerous

This is a real man's movie. lots of exploding cars buildings and more.

with loads of firepower included, the story line was pretty good and well thought out and the movie kept me intrested all the way thru.

it put the Expentables movie to shame,

retired CIA agents are on a hit list and are being killed off one at a time by the CIA

my Luckydog rating is a solid 9

I would watch it again and or buy the Blu Ray

the must see movie of the year so far

    the Green Hornet

when I was a kid I used to lay on the living room floor and listen to the green hornet before we even got a tv.

this is one of the most action packed movie i've seen in a long time. the movie starts out with Seth being the bumbling Green Hornet and Kato really doing all the butt kicking.

Seth finally starts evolving as the movie goes on, the car Black Beauty is awesome and really tricked out.

Kato actually makes 2 more backup cars and its a good thing he did, they total 2 cars during all the fights and chases.

the movie kept my attention all the way thru and the plot was very good.

if you like guns, explosions, chases and seeing things destroyed then you will enjoy this.

I would buy this on blu ray to see it all again in HD glory.

    my luckydog ratine is 9.9

I will add a review for 2 movies.

they are both light hearted little comedies. both older movies, and both foreign films
(so if you can't speak French, or Norwegian then its subtitles for you)

the first one an absolute gem of a film.

    Amelie
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211915

    the second

    Elling
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0279064/

give them a watch, you wont be disappointed.
