    Default ancestor to pachinko?

Dewey Coin Company Youngstown Ohio Agate Game Pachinko - eBay (item 400022406347 end time Jan-10-09 17:58:57 PST)

    item 400022406347

is this agate machine a precursor to pachinko?

I considered bidding, but it's almost 6 feet long, and now I see why the japanese made upright pinball.

That looks very much like the old bagatelle type games I see on ebay from time to time, although you don't usually see them coin operated

that game is typical of the bagatelle type machines that were the first pinball machines made in the U.S. in the 1930's. i have never seen one 6ft long, but it does look to be longer than the typical counter top games of the day.the price seems right though, maybe i should bid.

I asked the buyer about the size and weight, since I have a fedex account.

    this was the reply:

    I can't say exactly until it's boxed up, but itwill be approx 70" x 36" x 30" and weight is around 55lbs.

if I had the room, I'd probably bid on it, too.

i asked about dimensions too.i was told it was 35"X15". that size would compare with my five star final game.they must be planning to double the length when they box it up.probably why their shipping quote was twice what it should be.

Congrats! Now, just implement a few changes per the folks on this site:

    1) Strip it down to the wood, remove the pins, re-stain it, and put a new design on the face.

    2) Add a couple of new tulips for more exciting play.

    3) Put in a couple of new winner lights for more exciting play.

    Just kidding...

    Nice pickup!
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?
