Mangajin Japanese Magazines incl Pachinko

I saw this collection of magazines for sale on ebay and if I understand correctly then they are written in English and explain some of the Japanese culture

One of the issues is entitled Pachinko and I presume it to have a good write up on our favourite Pachi hobby although unfortunately there are no pics of any of the articles inside

Seems a reasonable price for 3 issues though

Ooh. Great find! My Japanese teacher showed us some similar magazines but they were about manga, pop culture, trains and old traditions. She didn't knew any issues about pachinko. Magazines were published by Embassy of Japan I suppose.

Yes, that's the main feature, but the rest of the issue (if memory serves me correctly) has pachinko-related comics and articles in it too. I was a frequent buyer of Mangajin while living in Japan, but being it was nearly 20 years ago, I forget what was in this exact issue...

However, I have a copy arriving again this week, and will let you know what else is worth seeing, then.

Note also that these mags are fantastic for learning a little more about Japanese language pronunciation and word use, which has direct relations to your pachinko hobby. A good exercise for everyone to have a crack at...
