    Default dirty coin mechanism

This is a great forum. I have learned a lot.

Now for a question about a dirty coin mechanism. I have a Babel 2002 The metal coin track is very rusty. Can I remove it and clean it? Or should I use a little WD40 or 3 in 1 oil or silicon spray on it. What about the plastic chute?

    Thanks, Czyotto

You can remove it. There's not much you can do about the rust though. You could lube it but you'll get that all over your tokens.

You can use a navel jelly to remove the rust than some 600 wet & dry to smooth up alittle. Dry very well. That should be fine for your coin shute.
Never use oil or anything that will transfer to your tokens, because it will transfer from token to hopper insides.

I use my dremel wire brush. It removes the rust, oxidation and dirt.
