    Default Newbee Pachinko Addict

I just received a Pachinko machine from my wife for Xmas! She bought it from Hammacher Schlemmer.

    http://www.hammacher.com/publish/101...promo=QSearch

It was sent from Slot-Pachinko in Texas. $350 plus $60 in shipping.

I love it, probably over paid. I have no idea what the name of the machine is, however on the front of the machine is "Elfin Model". I have spent hours trying to find out information about the machine.

I believe it might be a "Ukiyo-e" The art work on the machine is like the art work of "Hokusai".

    Here is a Wikipedia link:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/36_View..._Fuji_(Hokusai)

alot of pictures on the 3D screen on the machine come up when the bonus is hit.

Thanks in advance for your help in finding out what the heck I got here, and did I over pay?

Is it possible you could post a pic of your actual pachinko as this would help identify it??

Also there should be a manufacturers name somewhere on it too??

    What a super Xmas pressie!!

    Welcome to PachiTalk Ron.

If the machine has 'Elfin Model' written on it, then it's most likely to be a machine manufactured by Nishijin in the 'Elfin' frame. Take a look at the pictures on the bottom of this page and the ones on this page and see if you can match up which one it is. Then I'm sure that someone will be able to help you with a game name (if you can't read the Japanese names on Nishijin's website).

Looking at the pics on the wikipedia link, then I'd suspect that it's the 'Hanaman' pachinko, but can't find any decent resolution pictures of the playfield (bottom left of the 2002-2001 page linked above). If it is then you've got yourself a nice machine, there have been several sequels to this machine (2004's Hanamankai Kiwame, 2006 Hanamankai Kirameki and 2008 Hanamankai) all of which are very well liked by collectors here.

To anyone wishing to identify and possibly date there machine (no funny comments, although I am married to all of mine - sort of a Biga-Pachist ), we need the following:

1 - A clear picture of the front of the machine or better-

2 - A clear picture of the Japanese name of the machine - on more modern machines, this is usually near the bumper, upper right of the game face. On older machines, it on the lower left of the game face. Also, it will be on the control board case on the rear of the machine.

    Makes it a lot easier

    Thanks Guys!!

It is a 浮世絵 (Ukiyo-e) manufactured by Nishijin in 2003 and put in the 'Elfin' frame.

I used Google bar to translate the Japanese

Wow what a great machine. The display is really 3D, no glasses needed.

I'll try to post some pictures ASAP. My Daughter has my camera.
