I found an old playboy in a pinball machine I bought years ago. Sorry no pictures.

I with out latest machine (4th) my son has been testing it after I have been working on it. We tend to empty the machine when we are done playing. He said that every time he finished he was ending up with less balls than he started with...ok mystery started. Finally found the balls in the lower metal tray for emptying out. why were they stuck?? The whole tray was full! Well i finally got this out.

Kinda looks like a bug of some sort, but it sure was clogging the path.

This is what greeted me on one of my buying trips to Chicago. That was one big ass ugly spider!

Don't know how unusual this is, but I recently got my first Pachinko machine (a '74 Sankyo) and found, in addition to a couple of more recent chromed balls in the jackpot module, a couple of old, badly rusted balls behind the front loader door.

I took them out and cleaned them up (my avatar is one), figuring that they're probably from when the machine was in service at a hall, before being sold state-side.
The balls say "Tomei," which may refer to the Tomei expressway that runs between Tokyo and Nagoya ("Tomei" is an acronym of Tokyo and Nagoya, and the expressway opened in the late 60s, so the time-frame is right) and, specifically, a Pachinko hall along the expressway.
After a little hunting, I found Tomei Kaikan (http://www.tomeikaikan.com/), but I have yet to see what the design on their pachi balls looks like or whether or not they were around in the 70s.
