OK, this is not strange or unusual, but I find it gross b/c I hate bugs. I get so creeped out by them that I have to use a glove or tweezers to remove them.

    here's a spider for rusty's collection

and sid, what did your wife say about the wedding ring missing for 2 years?

I would have never heard the end of it, besides having to get a new one after the insurance paid off (have one of those expensive tiffany diamonds).

We found the obligatory dead spider in the 'new' Vintage Sanyo!! He was at the top of the Hopper!!

Actually since taking this pic, we found his dead friend too, and a very small lively one bungee jumping from the hopper whilst we were cleaning the back

Got my first machine just before Christmas, and have been reading through the archives since then. Mine is an Indiana Jones that arrived clean, so no good story there, but...

Not mine, but if you go the the Pachinko in PA thread that is relatively new, and go to the Ebay listing for picture #23 (click to get larger version), there is a nice bug in that machine. Not sure this link will work, but I'll try here: Auctiva Image Hosting

Thanks for all the cool info so far, I'll post some questions after I get through the archives more.

    found the nut!

just shows how long it's been since I've vacuumed.

this is one of the nuts that a critter had stored inside my daiichi when it was staying in the foothills near yosemite. poor thing probably starved this winter.

these were the little bonuses that kept dropping out with balls when I first got the machine working in november.

Well...it appears you have now been 'let in' with the 8-legged find in your 'new' vintage Sanyo!! btw - don't forget to add a pic of the new machine to the pics of your moderns at the bottom of your posts.

I was the fortunate one to find a piece of a tooth. I am working on a re-creation of the scene so you can see where it was. Here was the original post about it from 'grandparent step by step' thread:
    -------------------------------
I think the reason I got such a deal on this new one is because I think the guy who sold it couldn't get it to work right. Once I got it home, I found the problem and now it's playing quite well.

Peeking around the back 'tracks' that load the winner chute, I found that one track was not letting balls through, so as to not allow payouts. I noticed a chunk of something? A rock? Dried banana? A peanut?

After some delicate 'operation' game type surgery, I extracted the clog. What was it???

A HUGE CHIP OF A MOLAR! That's right! A tooth!

Now that has to be a first!
Cheers! And here's to more cleaning. What will I find next? I'm almost afraid to find out.

I think it is a first!! Not sure anyone else is going to find a tooth...

btw I haven't been able to add to my sig line pics for a long L O N G time, I've actually got 16 pachis now,

    I think??

My wife loves playing my new "Monkey" machine. If she only knew what was lurking under the trays! I had to replace the lower board on the frame and when I flipped it over I found a slew of spider egg sacks.

I cleaned them all out and they appear to have hacked out already... I'm hoping before I got them in MY house!
