I'm missing that on one of my sophia B's, too, and I just could not pay $25 for a reproduction or $50 for an original...

I used a paint stick and an odd washer that was lying around.

looks like JACKSEA used a piece of acrylic?

The payout track cover was missing when I bought the machine, so I fashioned a home made solution that works pretty good as a replacement. Since I replaced the thin and scratched plexiglas from the front of the machine with new, I decided to use the old piece for scrap. I used my dremmel to cut out a new payout track cover that fits in real snug, but can be removed easily of needed to access the ball track. It's also clear plexi so you can see the balls as they roll to the payout.

Unitl I come across another machine that is the same model, cheap, has the missing parts and is beyond repair, I don't think those two pieces will ever be replaced (unless anyone has the parts and are willing to sell them to me cheap).

Ain't no biggie, looks like Birdbrain might have what you need, eventually though.

Replace that new plexi with real glass, for that Japanese parlor sound and feel - for that matter, 2 pieces! That way, your friends can't cheat!

I have a "no more war" machine thats just like that the only difference is instead of a plane mine has a battleship that spins and "blows up" not sure what year it was made sorta new to pachinko myself i inherited it from my grandpa just missing the brown plastic on the bottom back that overflows into the lower tray if your play tray is full. i'll post pictures later.

IMO, it's sometimes more fun to take a trashed machine and bring it back to life than it is to actually play it.

    Nice machine, and nice refurb...

k here's a few pictures of mine you can see the peice that I am missing at the very bottom for ball overflow. Everything seems to work but it still gets jammed sometimes. I plan to take the back plastic apart again and clean it up then mount it back with screws hopefully that might fix the jamming. I have wired it up and got the lights working with a 9 volt battery but not to bright so might replace with led's when I get a chance. Can anyone tell me anything about the "no more war" machines I couldn't find anything on google and not sure where the date would be?

I've got a couple of models in that same family...I believe yours is around 1976-1978...just a guess on my part.

looks like all your really missing is a simple tuperwear container or something of the like to catch the lost balls...

its kinda hard to tell but i can see the extra balls that are stuck in the back need to be removed.. also the drop lever looks to be stuck half way back up.. that may be the root of your jaming problem.. see if u can get that arm to return to the top of its travel...

    nice machine

I am restoring this model as well and this is my first attempt. Had my first Nishijin about 30 years ago but lost in a move. In the picture on the far right down by the lever there is a linkage that runs left to right and goes towards the spill tube...(don't know what to call these things. It passes through a clear plastic standard on its way to keep it vertically and horizontally aligned. Mine is missing, but I could easily make one if I knew what it attached to on both ends and what its purpose is...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a close up of an machine I found on site with the wire link circled in Red...I could easily form the link, but don't have a clue as to what it attaches to on either end. Some kind soul providing a close up would be appreciated...
    Thanks...

its kinda hard to tell but it appers to be an overflow stop.. if your machine has to meany balls in the winning trays id will push the wire over and fowl the ball launch launcher..

I wouldn't worry about it.. most dont allow the balls to get that backed up in the trays..

    make sense??
