    Default reels won't stop

First I'd like to say hello to you all as a new member. I have searched around and this site seemed to be very helpfull so I figured I would join.
I bought a machine for my wife (me) for christmas. I worked fine for two days, then the stop buttons would not work. It's a Type-a yamasa called Divers King of Ocean.
Searched here and found some leads. Fuse in the stop board was blown. Bought new one and blew. Unplugged the 4 wire connector to the hopper, new fuse blew when turning power on. I removed the board and checked for any signs of tracking or poor connections, and found none. The right side reel stop button was giving problems, but an ohms test found a poor conection intermittently, causing slow response.
It's an older very clean machine that was bought from a smoewhat local dealer a few years ago. I like the nostalga of older things, but understand the problems that this poses.
Anyway, I thank you in advance for any info.

this happens from time to time its usually caused by the hopper but you already did step one in unplugging the hopper . if that doesn't work its usually a diode on the board that has shorted . if you have a picture and the number on the board you may be able to find a replacement from someone here many machines use the same reel stop board . if not and your good with a meter you might want to check the diodes on the board and find the shorted one and replace it . follow the lands on the board and youll find a diode across the positive and neg on the board that's usually the one that's at fault .also give the machine a good look over to see that the harness isnt crushed in the door hinge or that a wire hasnt broken off and shorted .good luck

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty good with a dvom so I'll take a whack at it.
I'll also check the wiring in the door opening area and get back with what I find.

I have been super busy with the holiday's, and haven't had alot of time to look at the machine. One thing I found was the diode closest to the fuse is open. All the other ones will have like 2.1-2.5K Ohms across them. I don't think an open would cause the fuse to blow, but I don't how this board functions.
I should have some free time this weekend to look at it further. See if I can't put a pic up also.
    Thanks again

    Hey guys,
I keep checking this board, but can't find anything wrong except that one diode that tests open. I attached a pic of it if anyone has one they want to let go, or if there is a known problem with this board.
    Thanks again

Any idea's. I am willing to purchase a parts machine if I have to. I want to get this thing up and running. I'm stumped right now.

take the number next to that large electrolytic cap and talk to stealth or gaku about a replacement board before you buy a parts machine.my bet is the small cap right next to the diode under the large electrolytic cap .
