    Wow. If that doesn't humble a guy, nothing will.

    Definitely, the world needs to help regardless of the politics.

    Those are some shockingly devistating pictures. Now we also have hell falling into the ocean too...

    Meaning someone who is willing to jump the gun and get there before anyone else: as in the settlers of the Oklahoma territory who did not wait for the official start of the race to claim land and had already staked their claims before the race began.

    Oh you mean the litteral version! :wink: Didn't know too many knew about that.

    Brief Oklahoma history for those even slightly interested;

    It was April 22, 1889, springtime in Oklahoma. At noon, no one lived in what is now Guthrie, Okla. Guthrie was the original capital of Oklahoma. Behind a line of thousands the gun shot went off and the race to land began. By sundown, a town of 10,000.

    However that "no one" is a bit misleading. You see the night before, in the darkness, some people snuck in and staked their claims to land before it was officially opened. While you just can't beat a good deal, free land for the staking, getting in their early and cheating as it were, this group became known as the sooners. So our state's nickname is representative of criminals. :-?

    I like Beaches....as long as no giant wave comes along.
    I am a body surfer but nothing is going to help against a 30 footer.

    Gotta say the best thing out of Oklahoma is that Stoops boy you sent over to coach my favorite team here in Arizona. The Sooners could of used him vs USC.
