Default Reward Hopper Ball Channels; One Non-Functional?

I'm still trying to figure out how everything works on my Twin Tales.

There are two ball channels in the reward hopper on the back of the machine. However only one of them seems to empty of balls. The other one (nearest to the front of the machine) stays filled no matter how well I seem to do.

Does anyone know if there is a release valve for the other channel that may need to be opened?

I am able to empty both channels by pressing down on the dump valve in the back, but this does not seem to make the one ball channel functional when filled back up again.

    Thanks

One channel pays off the balls, the other drops a single ball into the container at the bottom where the drain balls fall into.

The Drum Crash has three channels, but I haven't figured out yet what the third channel is for.

I don't think so. I believe it's the higher award award stack of 13 or 15 balls like Arby said. Some games have 3 payout levels. Perhaps that is why your game has three sets of tracks with trip levers.

Balls from the playfield follow a different path to the storage basket and are not held in a chute with release levers.

I just re-checked three of my six machines and apparently they all use the ball channels differently. The Omizu leaves one channel full nearly all the time, the Drum Crash leaves one of the three channels full all of the time, and the Giant Seven pulled balls from both channels.
