I was curious how good a deal this was?

Great deal!!! You won't get them too too much cheaper as long as this price included shipping and it's from a quality vendor.

I have a set of 500 chips and a case with cards, etc. down in the game room in case anyone gets tired of Pachislo and wants to play a bit of poker. Adds to the ambiance.

Regarding the cost of materials & shipping fees for slot machines. We ship via FED EX and their rates are reasonable. They range from $25 to $45. Our big cost is the materials. We buy in bulk 500 boxes at a time @ 7.80 each, these are the double wall type. We also have special foam made to fit the top and bottom of the machines. The foam is the thickest and most expensive available. The sets of foam run us $25.50 per set and we also have to purchase 500 at a time. Before we pack our machines we shrink wrap the machine and add small foam wedges to small components. We also staple our boxes closed to assure no damage or chance of the box opening in transit. On ebay as well as our website we charge $69 to ship each machine. To date, we have never had a machine arrive damaged or unplayable. A few loose wires and plugs here and there but NO DAMAGE! Bottom line, we come very close the $69 charge everytime, except if it's close by there may be $5 - $10 left over or if it is far east or west coast we may meet the $69 cost or have to add a few bucks to get it delivered. We take pride in assuring our machines arrive safe and in working condition.

thats good you all cna get that price from fed ex, us small frys out here have to pay around 40-50 for each machine ****pped. I coudl buy boxes in bul, but i usually buy 5-10 at a time and pay around 10-11 for them. I then have to get foam from differnt places, so it costs me alot too sometimes. If I coudl find a way to cut prices down i woudl, but at the moment I cant!

Even thou a big vender gets a price break, he doesn't have to pass it on.
You think about all the catalogs that charge a handling fee over the cost of shipping.
