Default Just bought my first machine !

    Greetings all.

Well, I did it. I bought a scratch n dent from Stealth after reading thru this excellent forum. This is my first machine. Something curious though....when I ordered the machine, the lady on the other end told me that the pachislos pay out more than they take in. Is this true? Or am I not understanding how these machines actually play?

PS, sorry if I posted this message in the wrong section.

Congrats! Yes, they can be set to pay out over 100%. Most pay very low until the Bonus hits, so you can put hundreds of tokens in over hours of play before paying out a 300, 400 or more bonus. That could even only break you even. Then you play some more and hit another one to take it over 100%

    Hi all,

I got the Continental XXXX-saw it as someones avatar here and looked kinda cool. It was that or the New Pulsar. Being that I have no on hands experience with pachislos, I went strictly on how the machine looked. I wanted to get the Thunderbird that I saw on the site the night before, but that was sold that morning. So is this a good first machine to play?

Yep, I also bought 500 more tokens.

I dont think I would really want to set the machine to pay out more than 100%. I would like to have similar odds like a regular casino slot...that is I dont think I would like to hit the jackpot everytime I play......that would make it kinda boring. What settings do you guys set your machines on?

    N.

forgot to metion to Stealth that I was a member of this forum.... :-(

i have my machines set on the highest payout, even if you set your machine on the highest payout your not going to hit the jackpot everytime you play.

That all depends. When friends come over I usually set them on 5 or 6 to give them a good chance of hitting a bonus, when the neices come over I set them all to one, so as not to drive myself crazy.

    Hi naree,

Some people aren't as crazy about the Cont 4X since it is a pretty straight forward machine and doesn't have a lot of the flashy stuff like extra reels, LEDs, etc. But, I love it! Good basic type machine that looks much like an American slot! 8-)

Good choice, imo. Naturally, I'm not biased.
