Custom Harley Davidson Pachislo

I just got a machine. Its my first. Its at home right now, but I think its a Harley. The lighted picture at the bottom says Harley Davidson with a side view of a close up of a motor cycle. Is this right? Is it some sort of special addition?

No it doesnt look like that. It does say harlye davidson motorcycles with the logo and all. The picture is a close up of a leg on a foot peg with a harley covering most of the picture. So i guess the supper excitement of possibly having a rare machine just dwindled a bit. But Im still glad to have it as an addition to my game room. I am quite interested in the volume control issue. That will be my next task. For now I just have the speakers disconnected. That shouldnt hurt the amp will it?

Why don't you post a picture of you machine and we can tell you what model you really have and how common or uncommon it is.

Well, that would have been super awesome if you just happened to get one of the rarest most sought after machines out there... I was about to offer you $25 over what you paid!

It sounds like what you got was a customized machine. Some are done very well and others not-so-much. What is important is that it will be enjoyable to you AND it brought you here.

Ok... so now you know that you have a custom, you have a few choices.
- Keep it the way it is and enjoy it.
- see if the old bellyglass picture is still behind the Harley pic and get it back to it's original state
OR
- get really involved and finish the customization.

Of course, very few dare to go all the way.

Welcome to pachitalk.
All the pachislos are loud.
Some of them have adequate volume controls, some don't.
A variable resistor in line with the speaker will tone it down rather well.
If you want to be able to adjust it quickly from the outside of the machine, it is a bit more of a project.

ok the custom idea sounds great. what the heck! I will check behind the pic to see if the original pic is there anyhow. But where do I go for the info on finishing the machine. That way I dont clutter up this thread with inappropriate threads.

Yeah now I am more excited about this project than ever. I built my game room from concrete and studs on up so I guess I am a master "tinker'er". I sent Azlew (i think) a pm about some of the old customizing information. I want to do a bunch of research before doing anything. But I do think a sweet new cabinet would be in the works some time in the future. Luckily I have quite the collection of wood working tools and it is winter. Of course I am also supposed to refinish a rifle stock, complete the downstairs bathroom...ahhhhh!

What's there to finish? Those depictions of Hell's Angels on the payout glass are both realistic and intimidating!

ok I have a couple questions. If I want to keep it original, Ill want to check if the original picture is in the "belly glass". I was looking at it last night and cant figure out how to get to the picture. Also, I have placed an order for a large amount of tokens but only have a few to play with currently. Maybe 40 or so. It takes 4 tokens to get the wheels to be able to spin. I press the first and second bet and lights flash but I cant tell that anything really seems to happen unless I hit max bet then spin the wheel. is there a way to get one spin for one token or will it always be 4?

Most machines are max bet even though it appears that you can play individual medals. I have one that can be played as one, two or three medals, but my others are max bet even though the set-up is basically the same.

if you look on the inside of the door, you will see some plastic tabs on the lower part.

just press these all gently to remove the bellyglass.
