    Default I'm Bit!!

Well, just started working on the first, and wouldn't you know, along comes a second in good shape from Craigslist! Picked up a Sanyo Bussan (1980?) for only $35! When it rains here in Portland it pours! I just couldn't pass it up (guess I have the fever!). I'll actually start on this one first as it is quite a bit simpler and better to cut my teeth on me thinks. Anyways, is "ultora" the name of the machine? Oh, how does one access the playing field (ie remove the glass)? Do you remove all the chrome trim, or can it open?

    Thanks all, Slimy

Yes it opens. If you look on the back of the machine you will find a space with a leaver in it. Pulling this will open the front.

Hi John and thanks! I followed and your link and saw you were a ST for OH? I also work in the OR as an RN and do the Gen/Robot thing. Have you been doing this for long (the pachinko thing)? I just started off and am glad I've found a forum with other like-minded folk.

Yeah they are pretty expensive, especially those disposable instruments. Wish I had gotten in to Intuitive stock back when... Ah well, better things I've found now to spend my money on... pachinkos!!

I'm liking the bright colours on that Sanyo, looks like it's in good condition too!!

How do you open up the plunger cover/jackpot tray cover on the front of the machine? I see no screws or locking mechanism. Thanks.

Once you get the glass open, there should be a button/metal piece you push down to open the shooter area, it should be just above the overall shooter 'door' on the right side.

Open the front glass. Look to the opposite from the hinges at the top of the 'shooter' cover door and you'll see a lever. Pushing down on this lever allows that door swing open.

Good luck and welcome to the Dark Side!
