actually I thought this machine was one of the quieter machines ive seeen. Ive not even installed a volume control on it. Remember on this machine, up is the lowest setting, not down!

I have mine in a room with wood floors, so even on low it echos pretty good. I didn't realize it until I added the L-Pad.

Also, I have young children who need their beauty sleep.

OK, David, thanks. I'll give it a go tomorrow. I wish I had the stripper tool, though. I'm going to have just use a cheapie one or a small knife to get the insulation off and it's going to be tight in there.

Oh, boy! Don't I know "up" is the quiet position. It was delivered in the down position and darn near knocked me down when a few lightning bolts came up. haha!

Even, in UP, though, it's really loud. Maybe there is some variance between machines even on the same model? This is the noisiest of my machines. The Don Don King doesn't really need a volume mod for me, but this one does. my others have L-pads now.

Just be careful because the wire is only like 24awg. Very thin.

Good advice. I noted that the wire was very small, but sometimes a reminder is good and I'll be careful!

OK, got the L-Pad mod all done this morning. Took awhile as decided to use wire splices and on those small gauge wires with little room for fingers, it was a bit difficult and slow going.

Anyhow, it is done now and it works GREAT!!! :smt041

But seeing yours and preparing for the tediousness of it saved me, David. Normally, I'm a bit impatient. This job I prepared for, and good thing as it took two hours to accomplish. The splices didn't work a couple of times and I had to resolder one wire onto a speaker that pulled off. Just no darn room to work in there with those little delicate wires. (To resolder that wire, had to drop the top light housing down out of the way, too.)

I just LOVE this machine. It is a blast to play with all the sounds and neat things it does with the lighting. This is one great slot and really brightens up the game room. I hate turning off the light show as it sits at rest, too.

Question, though. Near the coin return are four BB sized red lights: Win Insert, Replay and Start. I've yet to see the Win light operate, although I've won various bonuses and of course small prizes. Has anyone seen this light up? :?:

If you are looking for something that is very Japanese, sakurafubuki is a nice machine. It, along with a Babel where the first 2 machines I bought. If I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn't buy either of them. It's not that there's anything wrong with either, it's just that there are other machines out there that I like better.

I'd say if she really likes the theme of this particular machine, go for it. Even though it's not one of my favorites, every time I have a party someone ends up falling in love with it. Go figure.

There are 2 versions of this machine. I have the older of the two. I think the other is about a year newer and it is also a little nicer than mine.

    Slotter,

My "Win" light doesn't light up either on a normal win or replay, but I will watch for it on my next Big or Giga Bonus win.

That particular light is on the circuit board and must be an LED... therefore, doubtful that it's burned out. I'm guessing it takes some special win to turn it on??? Or it's just not operable?

A second bump... any Giga Fever owners know the answer? Anyone ever see this thing light up if it is set to do so... (maybe it's like the three lightning bolts that never quite get lined up?)

    Thanks!

I just kept it full (50 credits) at all times got 3 bells (10 medals), and still no "Win" light. Must work during Big Bonus.

Thank you, sir! I'm not going to worry about it anymore. But, if someone should ever see it light, please come back and post!
